Let me direct you few messages above.
Yeah, I have 2 houses I’m paying off. I have a wife and cats that demand my attention. That’s why I’m not buying capital ships and storing them inside of a structure that must be fed giant ice cubes every day and defended against attacks.
Eve Online has always been all about protecting your assets from destruction. It always has been.
So… can I use the “I have a life now” excuse to make my ships respawn when destroyed? After all, I don’t have all day to make the money to replace all of them. No, of course I can’t.
So TL;DR: “If you don’t like MY WAY, then quit.”
Really underlines all the solutions to null-sec, coming from outside the environment.
This game has been going for over 20 years and has always had chestbeaters screaming HTFU, how null was the most dangerous and risky space in the game, how everyone should go there, how elite they were, etc, etc, etc. In all honesty, null is the safest place in the game where you can rat, mine and anom until your hearts content with minimal risk.
Due to the perceived “risk” in null, it has the best ores, best anoms, best rats, best anoms, etc. The joke is that your sovreign space is safer than high/low or WH space. You’ve got local, dscan, deep null systems, massive system sizes. Here’s an example; When jumping into a null system to find ratters they immediately dock up when they see someone enter local - by the time you’ve warped to them over 100au you can never catch them and they’ll never undock again.
Null is a joke, full of cry babies who throw tantrums about anything that doesn’t benefit them.
Asset safety needs to be removed - it’s supposed to be risky, it’s supposed to be rewarding. For all the bleeting of “destruction is good for the game” we then end up with assets that can be easily saved to avoid destruction.
I never said that. I simply mentioned how it used to be.
I think the very same thing every time nullbears accuse me of being afraid to leave high sec. Sure null sec is more dangerous, but when it because TRULY dangerous, thousands quit the game. Blackout cost CCP a hell of a lot of subscribers. And now that they have Asset Safety, they’re not giving it up without a fight.
I’d respect null bears a lot more if they ever stopped boasting about how Hard Core they are.
Just let them dock. They are all in stations any way.
You might have confused low-sec with null-sec.
Nope. I certainly didn’t. Blackout did not affect low sec. It only affected null.
I paid 68B ISK to retrieve my two Avatars from asset safety.
Due to PH’s retreat, my personal losses are estimated to exceed roughly 200B ISK.
The news about reimbursement for the asset safety fees is encouraging.
I sincerely hope the compensation will be processed promptly.
All action in EVE have a certain ripple effect right.
why u protect the wealthy? i mean to have a Avatar means ur pretty wealthy.
why should u even bother undock and might lose it, if u still hold 90% of it if everything goes to ashes. This might be the very reason people wont fight over their assets at all, because u just lose a bit if hell breaks lose.
All in all removing consequences for ur actions makes Eve less fun. And im sure People with titans know how to make isk. they have it back in no time, let us interact in this game together and please let them be able to hurt me bad.
OK. I got baited. Let’s stop devolving this thread.
probably more to fix something CCP didnt realize was broken
Avatar being 30b to pull out
Leviathan being 8b
Wyvern being 3b
Nyx being 7b
that screams “uh oh…something went wrong”
and price differences that extreme can affect how the game is playeed, so fixing it is appropriate.
the timing is just a coincidence because we havent had a mass asset saftey that drew so much attention to the issue before now
and the reinbursement is cause the prices were not intentional
This situation illustrates how delaying important issues can lead to rushed decisions that ultimately frustrate the majority of people. It’s an unfortunate outcome?
Don’t fly anything you cannot afford to lose… unless you’re a PanFam super pilot, then CCP has your back.
Hey maybe if ccp motify the super & titan cost modify everything to 5% off the cost and everyonne is going to be happy ![]()
Or maybe it’s only because Horde & others lost theyre home system without the courage off fighting.
My avatar cost 60bil when I made it, so yeah please reduce my bill as I paid a cool 27bil, almost 50% pulling it out of AS..
So if we get rid of Asset Safety, there will be a 50% loot drop? If yes, then we get rid of CORES?
looks like youve never been in nullsec roaming
i payed 1.6b for like 6b worth of stuff a month ago. carrier, some modules and few subcaps ![]()
