Careful what you wish for… many over bombers have died to this person a time or two that is. I would not want to be on her bad side that is for sure.
Nothing else in the Patch Notes, though.
It should not come as a surprise to you that not everything is in the patch notes, CCP themselves have said this. In this case, it’s loading stuff for the Winter Nexus.
Do a former 0 Block like some cheese to her whine ?
i had to lol hard after reading the first 3 or 4 sentences …
they have to complain about something though
This game is in shambles
This justification for crappy dev documentation behavior never gets old, does it?
I am not justifying, just letting you know what they do.
It’s a justification, regardless whether it’s from you or them.
*rolls eyes*
i think asset safety is a good thing wormholes have a level of protection they have limiting entrances and exits they also dont have supers and large ships are limited often its a 1 -3 jump drop to high-sec that’s constantly moving they dont live under the ability for 1000s to flood in within minutes so those in wormholes saying remove asset safety how about wormhole get earnings nurfed by 50% because they dont live under the same risks .
each area has differing risks and gameplay so i think asset safty is a good thing but i do think its value needs changing in 3 ways buildable ships should have cost by its total build cost all 4 main titans should have the same cost the same with all large ships the next i think there should be a differing cost between active and forced asset safety 20% if you chose to place and 15 if its forced by the destruction because the risks of going into abandoned getting a drop
my next is ships should be repacked rigs destroyed
my reasons for this are different from others asset safty should really hurt but not be ending between loosing rigs redemption cost and loosing insurance the true cost would be 15-50% dependent on what is in safety rebuildable but will take time and effort .
Hello @CCP_Swift Swift,
sorry for posting in this thread, but since it is closely related to the recent Asset Safety valuation changes, I wanted to bring a specific, transaction-level issue to your attention.
My case is not about the general balance decision regarding Titan or supercapital value changes. Instead, I encountered what appears to be a concrete Asset Safety fee miscalculation on a Keepstar incl. Core retrieval, which resulted in me paying with paying about 45b significantly more than the documented ~15% average fee.
Support has informed me that valuation changes are a game design decision and redirected me to the forums for potential technical issues. See ticket #2563262. Since a closely related calculation bug affecting the Avatar was recently confirmed and fixed in a patch, I am concerned that a similar issue may still exist for other items or structures.
I have full transaction logs, screenshots, and exact ISK values available and can provide them immediately if helpful.
Could you please advise whether this should be treated as:
-
a known or related issue,
-
a new potential calculation bug,
-
or an intended edge case of the current valuation logic?
Thank you very much for your time and for looking into this.
Best regards,
Dr Dream
You might need to be more specific. Even then, there’s a chance the team may simply be too busy to address it immediately.
Cheers, we will look into this.
How about you remove asset safety.
No safty no complaints about value.
Just wanted to say how deeply appreciated these adjustments are. It’s genuinely impressive to see this level of attention to fairness and historical consistency in asset safety values. The clarity you’ve provided around supers and titans – especially the Avatar and Wyvern – really shows how committed you are to keeping the ecosystem balanced and transparent.
And the reimbursement policy? That’s honestly above and beyond. Knowing that anyone who overpaid will be taken care of without needing to jump through hoops is such a reassuring gesture. Thank you for being so proactive, considerate, and communicative about these updates. It really makes New Eden feel like it’s in careful, thoughtful hands
Hello,
how long will it take to receive a refund for the overpaid ISK? I retrieved my Titan from Asset Safety on November 29, 2025.
a Titan pilot
Now that the costs have been updated in game, when will the reimbursements be distributed?
Thanks!
Theres literally no logic in that statement.
There is. It is called “taking responsibility for your decisions”.
If you put a huge percentage of your wealth into a place that you can neither defend nor evacuate if danger knocks on your door, you made a pretty stupid decision in the first place and no magic asset teleporter should move your stuff out for you.
Fight or make a plan to bring it out safely. Best is, not owning more than you use on a regular basis and have the rest liquid in ISK. Have a fallback depot with irreplacable stuff in HighSec, for the case you and your group are getting beaten down.
All those “But RL!!!” whines are ridiculous. If you know you can’t log in to fight for a time, you just log out your chars in the most valuable ships, store all their hangars or some EVAC freighters on alts full of the most valuable items and then give all the rest to your Corp/Alliance. If they can save it, good. If not, screw it. You still have more than enough to keep playing once you come back. And you will still be in the Top-1% richest players in the game, just from your logged out ships and the stuff stored inside alone. Absolutely nothing to complain about.
