Update on Security of the Empire

I will also say that sometimes, a revelation or epiphany can have a profound, drastic, and immediate effect.

I know someone who went from being a devout blooder, to doubter, to suicide in one day, because of what someone else did.

I think it likely that Ms. Kerner has, or had, some preconceptions or ideas regarding the Empire that had to be true for many things in her life to have purpose and meaning. If those ideas became untrue, no matter how long or short it too, then the drastic change is what would be seen. I don’t speak for her; this is just my observation based on others.

As for me, there was someone I would die for who managed to turn me into a mortal enemy in the space of a few hours. These things can happen.

She was, in fact, not, and had not been for about three weeks.

That depends on the methods of said protection.

And as was stated above, if the realities of slave rebellions are too distasteful for you, just pick up your toys and go home. We’ve got this.

Terrorism can have purpose and depending on the enemy and situation, can even be justified.

What you did? It requires an ignorance our kind are incapable of to make it anything short of an atrocity.

One definition of terrorism is 1) the use of acts of violence 2) to cause fear in a population 3) in an attempt to achieve a political goal.

Like you said yourself elsewhere, if stifling a rebellion not done fast and decisively, it might end up not done at all. That is not just because the fast and decisive is more effective in a military sense - it is also because it is more effective in propaganda sense, in convincing others not to start anything.

In other words, what you did and what you advocate is the very definition of terrorism. Only if you include in the definition the exclusion clause that terrorism is by definition not something done by legal governments (a definition that is sometimes used), can you argue it is not.

By the powers of Haemothaumaturgy, I call upon the Sefrim to smite Alizabeth and strike her down beyond all chance of resurrection, for her failings to God and Empire.

If you don’t think this is happening from the Amarr side too, have I got news for you.

It’s a term used by Theology Council minions to disparage any person following any of Samira’s religious teachings. Samira herself calls them something like Avetatism, as you can see from the chosen name of her corporation, which iirc is in Amarrad, the old dialect of Amarr.

The Theology Council are calling this “Kernherism” because it suits their agenda. By personifying it, it characterises it in the minds of many, as a cult-of-personality surrounding Samira, and thusly, associated with the cults-of-personality around such figures as some Sani-Sabik, or other gross heretics, e.g. the “Naupliusism” label, which wasn’t really applied too much on account of it’s pronunciation being a bit tricky. Cults-of-personality also tend to be dismissed as unworthy of any deeper study or analysis.

So, by calling it “Kernherism”, the implication is that it will end and be forgotten in the event of Samira’s death. This suits the Theology Council’s objectives.

Some people are calling it that. What the Theology Council may or may not be calling it is not information I’d trust from a blooder.

Oh, yes, of course, it’s just being used by PIE, not the Theology Council.

But it’s the same thought pattern and methodology - Suggest it is a personality cult, and people will assume there’s nothing substantial to it.

Grief above and below, I’m glad someone finally answered my damn question.

Wow all this back and forth. The slavers will never understand why we resist them and we will never accept the slavers’ phony god, religion or society. I’m all done with even trying to carry on civil discourse with them. Let’s just get down to the matter and settle this with fire and blood.

It would mean the death of civilization as we know it but hey, at least we’d finally have some form of “peace” and no more of these damned threads on the IGS!

This is rather demonstrably not true. It is, if anything, a growing religion. While not necessarily an evil, it is potentially destructive and harmful enough that it should never be dismissed as “we will never…”. The religion, the Rite, can potentially evolve and adjust itself to the reality of New Eden to the point of being capable of co-existence without eventually requiring violent subjugation, but until it does we need to be very aware of it and accept that it is insidious, it is the largest religion in New Eden, and it is spreading.

Well… I’m in. Is there like… a button? Do we just like… go? Is there a redder safety setting I’ve missed?

Happy New Year, allies from the Empire!

It was a difficult year, and I wish you to drown all these stupid rebels and blooders in their own blood in New Year, so nobody will dare to disturb the peace and order in the Empire and stay alive after that!

Hardly. These sorts of “Purer than the pure” heretical movements are rarely wiped out in a single generation. Naming new heretical movements after important founding figures is pretty standard practice and doesn’t really signify anything beyond a recognition that “Well, this one seems to be something new.”

And @Melisma_Ramijozana, what we are seeing ranges from people simply using Samira as a convenient symbol to people considering her a prophetic saint who has a better understanding of divine will than the Empress or Theology Council.

Huh. That’s an… interesting twist of psyche. The desolate will as they will.

Regardless, thank you for the response.

24 hours ago the Ghost of Kahah’s Raitaru completed its unanchoring process at roughly 9am on the 2nd January YC121, despite a attempted solitary defence of the structure by Mr Darkar SFRIM forces successfully confiscated the structure for impounding under Imperial law regarding heresy and illegal insurrection in support of terrorists and other rebellious factions on the surface of Thebeka III.

Khimi Harar believes this brings to a end to Mr Darkar’s operation within the system and demands he take’s himself to Republic space and cease interfering in the internal affairs of others.

May God be with us

You stole an unanchoring Raitaru and call it “confiscation”? When they’re unanchored, there’s literally nothing left to investigate. It’s an egg of nano-assembly units and materials, nothing else. Every single one of them are exactly the same as all others. You stole a several hundred million ISK structure for fun and profit, more like. Be honest.

No one minds, it was all to be expected, it’s just getting weird and distasteful to start making up nonsense about it. None of you are enforcers of Imperial Law, and the capsuleer in question has complied with all laws regarding capsuleer activity in Thebeka, which in turn is governed by treaties and laws the Empire signed on to.

Capsuleers being petty thieves is no news, nor unexpected, but lying about it? Come on.
