Wow, does this bot play EVE (oh wait, no bots allowed )? or are there humans at the back pretending to be artificially intelligent?
I wonder if @CCP_ChatGPT will be created soon⢠for experiments on test servers
First task: catch other botters perhaps?
I highly doubt it.
I just asked it to produce a backstory for your character, it spit the following out in just a couple of seconds:
âbut this time he was preparedâ. Obvious fake.
Yeah I was gonna say, itâs so obvious a bot wrote this because a miner would never train combat skills or defend themselves from attack.
Itâs all made up fairy tales sucked up the thumb
I just posted a request for ChatGPT to incorporate theory craft-built ships for Eve Online. if ChatGPT can master the theory crafting, Chat will get an extreme boost.
I did read somewhere you can train chatgpt in certain areas to be more accurate maybe we need to train it a bit, being able to analyse zkill might be useful.
So i asked the chat bot for info about you :
Write a profile on the notorious Eve character Karak Terrel, a low-security pirate and buccaneer with a legendary moustache.
ChatGPT
Karak Terrel is a notorious pirate and buccaneer in the world of EVE, known for his distinctive handlebar mustache and his outspoken views on miners. He operates primarily in low-security space, where he has made a name for himself as a ruthless predator of unwary miners and other unsuspecting travelers.
Terrel is something of an enigma, with conflicting rumors and legends swirling around him. Some say that he is a failed miner himself, bitter and resentful at those who have succeeded where he has failed. Others claim that he is a highly successful pyrite miner, using his piratical persona as a cover for his true activities.
Regardless of his true motivations, Terrel has made it clear that he despises miners and takes great pleasure in killing them. He sees them as weak and defenseless, easy prey for a predator like himself. He has been known to launch surprise attacks on mining operations, destroying ships and stealing valuable ore before disappearing back into the depths of space.
Despite his violent tendencies, Terrel is said to have a soft spot for the pirate Princess Aiko and her clan. Some whisper that he harbors a secret desire to please her, and that his attacks on miners are part of a twisted attempt to prove his worth to her. Whether there is any truth to these rumors remains to be seen, but there is no denying that Karak Terrel is a complex and intriguing figure in the world of EVE piracy.
âHandlebar moustacheâ âŚthe bio seems outdated
how about that âprincessâ thing, hmm? Mr @Karak_Terrel would you like to comment?
And maybe somebody should teach that bot to use New Eden instead of EVE. Then it could post to #fiction-portal section
Holly â â â â man, it has figured me outâŚ
Letâs ask the magic Chatgpt Ball.
Chatgpt, does Kerek have a secret love for Icky Oucho?
I asked it for a Mining Revelation fit, it suggested 4 mining lasers which is not possible, then strip miners, also not possible, after correcting it a few times it finally gave me the Veldy fit
/c
I wonder if now others ask for a fit they end up with a Veldy fit, what was your exact question.
I think I started out with a âshow me a good Revelation fit for mining Veldspar in EVE Onlineâ or something along those lines.
So this is the 1st answer :
show me a good Revelation fit for mining Veldspar in EVE Online
ChatGPT
Sure, here is a popular Revelation fit for mining Veldspar in EVE Online:
[Revelation, Veldspar Mining]
Capital Armor Repairer II
Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II
Reactive Armor Hardener
Reactive Armor Hardener
Capital Armor Repairer II
Heat Sink II
Heat Sink II
Omnidirectional Tracking Link II
Omnidirectional Tracking Link II
Omnidirectional Tracking Link II
Cap Recharger II
Strip Miner I
Strip Miner I
Strip Miner I
Strip Miner I
Strip Miner I
Capital Trimark Armor Pump I
Capital Trimark Armor Pump I
Capital Trimark Armor Pump I
This fit prioritizes tank and capacitor stability to allow for extended mining sessions in high sec space. The armor repairers and hardeners will provide ample protection from NPC attacks, while the heat sinks will help keep your weapons from overheating. The tracking links will boost your droneâs tracking and range, making it easier to target Veldspar asteroids. The cap recharger will help ensure your capacitor stays stable during long mining sessions. Finally, the trimark armor pumps will give you a significant boost to your armor hitpoints, further increasing your tank.
Please note that this fit is designed specifically for mining Veldspar in high sec space. If you plan to mine in low sec or null sec space, you will need to modify the fit to be more combat-focused. Additionally, this fit assumes you have strong support from other players, such as haulers to transport your ore and fleet members to defend you from potential threats.
So it looks like it never learnt from being asked, shame
I think this will be more practical once we can get our hands on chat gpt 4. If you just ask for a fit from the general open ai chat gpt 3 youâre just going to get it listing off any random fit without rhyme or reason. With gpt 4 youâll be able to plug in a ton more info, likely enough info that it can then work against that to give solid answers.
I donât have enough Eve experience to know what all the info you need to have to make sound judgements on fits, but Iâd not be surprised if using specific flavors of chat gpt 4 per topic will be commonplace in the next few years. Anytime discussing this ai stuff itâs important to remember that it is the worst it will ever be, everyday, itâs only going to get better.
Anyways cross your fingers UBI becomes a global discussion before itâs too late .
You guys are the kind of people who listen to an executive use corp-speak and nod your head with pleasure.

Chatgpt is known for giving statistically credible results, not correct ones
Asking it to fit your ship would make no exception, it would probably make for a funny killmail though
CCP is using OpenAI GPT-3 already on its Discord channel - nicknamed Rogue AI
It knows quite alot eve specific stuff
But first (if you havenât already) need to link your character with discord account from here:
