I think what Mr. Ixiris seems to be saying is that slavery destroys the person, regardless of its stated intention. Whether or not the person’s physical body is destroyed is irrelavent, the mind of the person is irrecovably altered by the experience, and perhaps not in a positive way. This is what makes slavery so onerous to societies that value human life and dignity.
