Value Packs Feedback Thread

Pro-tip, GMG allows you to stack coupons/gold status. I got the old $100 PLEX pack ridiculously cheap that way.

No, the answer is to not ever F’ing sell ships for RL cash…

Look at retrievers, there is evidence somewhere that you guys still offer this to new accts…
Ganking will go up…
And if you ad more ships for RL cash…well in HS they will become a priority target…

You guys want more players and to retain these players…then you need to get this monetization garbage out of your heads.

No, that would meet and assuage my reservations.

I’m not yet ready to try them though I do plan on purchasing some by year’s end.

Player buys PLEX from CCP. Player sells PLEX. Player buys ship from Jita.

Player buys ship from CCP.
. . . . .

How is this any different? CCP still records the same revenue and/or expense. The player still pays for the ship he wants.

What you’re arguing here is symantecs.

The ship the player bought in Jita was made by another player. From materials another player needed to harvest. These materials have probably been refined by some player. Then used a Blueprint another player had to research/copy/invent. Using datacores another player had to grab somewhere. Probably on some station or POS maintained by players. It was probably hauled to Jita by someone.

Difference clear?

Nope, it’s still symantecs. The player(s) doing everything you indicated paid for their subscription either directly to CCP or with PLEX.

CCP gives away SoCT ships and allows Concord ships to be redeemed. Again, to obtain these you needed to subscribe directly to CCP or with PLEX.

Who cares if CCP sells ships? (even exclusive ones) You don’t think they’ll end up in the game at some point? (sold, traded or blown up) How do you think the Marshall or Gnosis ends up in player’s hands?

Everything has a dollar value attached to it. You’re just splitting hairs…

Paying CCP alone isn’t enough, you actually have to do these things. They will cost time, attention, effort and organisation. They involve investments and risks. How many people do them when they do them or if they do them for the public or for their own corp/alliance only will have effects on availability and price of these ships. If they can do it unhindered or if they are at war and cannot mine/haul will have an effect. If large quantities of a certain ship are bought off the market because some big alliance need to replace a fleet will have an effect on the market.

So, it is actually important if stuff is created out of thin air, or if stuff is created using a process of ingame activities.

Marshals from BPC that require ISK and farmed LP. Gnosises and all SOCT ships are just cheats from cCP and should never be used as a bar for justification.

The difference is that CCP is cutting out the player market…

Long ago during the 2011 ‘Summer Of Rage’ / ‘Gold Ammo’ protest, CCP said they would never infringe on the player market…

Now they’re selling SP’s, ships, boosters, etc… As for the SoCT ships, those were free, a gift to all Capsuleers…

Pretty soon CCP will be selling fully skilled characters with fully fitted ships and various assets stocked in station… Basically allowing ‘Wallet Warriors’ to jump in with a distinct advantage over most everybody else…

I understand the difference, but as this has already been happening for years - aka: skill points, cerebral accelerators, certain types of ship, etc. - it’s somewhat moot. And thus, not really different ultimately.

Pandora’s Box was opened long ago.

True…

And then Pandora’s Box was eventually closed…

I say let CCP give them wallet warriors what they want… so we can have more funny stories like this:

Toon appears to have card swiped and chose first pvp experience to be in Marshal?

Or was it…? Look, I just want my Jove/Drifter ship. It’s one of the final “to do” items in EVE for me. I figure I’m going to pay for it one way or the other…

Look dipshit, there is already some evidence out there that CCP still offers new accounts fully fitted retrievers for RL cash. Which is why ppl like you dislike gankers so much cause there is a lot of anti-retriever ganking going on…wonder why that is.

So take a new account that can swipe card for any other ship…wait till they can buy an orca with omega time…then wait till 10 million Bots that are no longer bots but just high tanked Orca pilots are all over HS…cause they can credit card swipe their way into ships…

and any one playing to mine minerals, and bnuild ships at that point will have no reason to play…and will uninstall…the ppl that enjoy combat PvP will quit shortly after as they cant compete with literal P2W without mining, missioning, or selling plex for ISK to get ships…

That is what happened to Serenity before Fraternity came to TQ…the devs sold ships for cash…and everything was owned by 1 single group in all regions of space.

So im not arguing semantics here, you had better wake up @Arthur_Aihaken

What are you on? I don’t fly a retriever and even though I’m not a fan of gankers - I’ve never suggested they should be abolished completely. Not really sure what this tangent has to do with anything…

Has to do with the possibility of retrievers with full fit of T1 modules being sold for RL cash by CCP…and you and others like you slinging garbage at gankers cause they gank characters less than a week old flying rettys

Either show me where I’ve said this or retract your comment. I don’t appreciate being mischaracterized…

I really wonder how many people responded with “I want to buy ships” to the question “what are you missing in EVE that you cannot buy” in the quarterly surveys.

The difference is that it devalues harvesting and manufacturing activities and degenerates EVE into session-based PvP arena.
