Maybe if you say it one more time it will be true, then, but for now, they are not moon ores, they have never been moon ores, they do not come from moons, they have never come from moons, they have nothing to do with moons, they are unrelated to moon mining in any capacity, moons are not involved in their procurement, etc.
This is 100% not true. They are just like veldspar and they do not come from moons. They are High sec border ores. They are minable in a venture (moon ore is as well btw). They can be refined in any refinery, just like veldspar.
You mean onions?
Make sure it has pineapples on it please.
i like pineapples they look great , But I’m talking about the basic ore‑to‑mineral loop.
Ducinium and Eifyrium do not appear in high‑sec belts and are not part of the high‑sec ore ecosystem.
Whether you call them border ores or moon‑type ores doesn’t change the fact that solo high‑sec miners cannot mine Nocxium, Zydrine or Megacyte from ore.
“If you want to continue the discussion, I’m here for that.
If you prefer to talk about pizza, that’s fine too — but it doesn’t change the ore distribution.
They CAN be mined solo. They appear on your overview and are warpable by everyone. A day one pilot CAN mine Zydrine and Megacyte from ore in high sec. You haven’t played the game for 6 years, maybe trust those who are actively playing the game and not whatever hallucination that you got your information from. cerlestes.de - Ore Table for EVE Online
??? huh?
The Real Danger Curve of EVE Online (and Why High‑Sec Is Undervalued)
Players love to argue about which part of space is “the most dangerous,” but the truth is that each security zone has its own kind of danger — and its own kind of reward.
And right now, the balance between them is nowhere near fair.
Here’s the reality:
High‑Sec: Unpredictable Danger, Low Rewards
High‑Sec is not “safe.”
It’s unpredictable.
High‑Sec players deal with:
-
gankers who choose the timing
-
suspect baiting
-
ninja looters
-
war‑decs
-
bumpers
-
players pretending to be friendly until they strike
You never know who your enemy is.
There are no intel channels, no standing fleets, no bubbles, no SRP.
High‑Sec danger is social, chaotic and constant — and yet the rewards are the lowest in the game.
High‑Sec players face real danger but get underpaid for it.
Low‑Sec: Pure Chaos
Low‑Sec is the home of:
-
gatecamps
-
pirates
-
solo PvP
-
small‑gang hunters
No CONCORD, no bubbles, no safety net.
It’s raw, unpredictable PvP.
Low‑Sec players aren’t safer — they’re just adapted to chaos.
Null‑Sec: Organized Danger, Overpaid Rewards
Null‑Sec is dangerous, yes — but it’s organized danger.
Null players have:
-
intel channels
-
standing fleets
-
bubbles
-
cynos
-
doctrines
-
SRP
-
scouts
-
jump bridges
-
massive alliances protecting them
Null‑Sec danger is predictable and coordinated.
And the rewards are enormous.
Null‑Sec is heavily overpaid compared to the risk.
The Balance Problem
Right now, the danger‑to‑reward ratio looks like this:
-
High‑Sec: high unpredictability, low income
-
Low‑Sec: high chaos, medium income
-
Null‑Sec: organized danger, extremely high income
This is not a balanced ecosystem.
It’s a design assumption that doesn’t match reality.
High‑Sec players take real risks without support systems.
Null‑Sec players take structured risks with massive backup and get paid far more.
Final Thought
Every space has its own kind of bravery:
-
High‑Sec players survive without intel or backup.
-
Low‑Sec players thrive in chaos.
-
Null‑Sec players operate inside military machines.
But the reward structure doesn’t reflect that.
High‑Sec is undervalued, Null‑Sec is overvalued, and the danger curve is completely out of sync with the actual player experience.
Calm down miner.
We havenet seen Gasephed in a long time now. I think hes under a new alt now…or hes been spreading his AI slop to other players.
Lets guess which it is, shall we?
except when you could get everything from moon mining, you mean? Those many years?
No I mean before then, they only removed Kernite/Omber with scarcity and recently added them back in. I do not count the brief time that moons in HS gave null ores, that lasted two years at most.
Bingo. I flagged these posts for ban evasion. If you really want to argue with chatGPT, then please just go to their website instead. Arguing with them in here is literally a waste of time.

I’m sure he will be back, but I don’t think this is the same person. Regardless, there is certainly an issue with ChatGPT spam.
This is not exactly true though, is it. I get a lot of Nocxium, Zydrine, and Megacyte from my activities in High Sec (not through purchase of course).
I hate botters
felt like eternity, perhaps because i was sitting there mining, which sometimes is mind numbingly boring.
but why is that not counted?
I hate to be like those people that dismiss people’s posts out of hand because they don’t have long kill-mail records, but as someone who mostly plays in High Sec, it is obvious to me that you don’t play in high sec, and don’t know what you are posting about.
They are both empire border minerals, and easily minable by solo players.
I have a side hustle of manufacturing battleships, and I find that pyerite is the bottle-neck mineral, and this is with me doing a fair amount of afk mining of scordite.
This is like the guy that claimed that it was impossible to haul through Udama, and after talking to him about it he admitted that he did not even haul and did not know what he was talking about.
Seriosu question @Gallentia since it is obvious you are not highly experienced in High Sec why do you pretend that you are and try to tell others about it?
but why?
This is probably the main thing I have never understood about miners. Why would you go afk?
an isk saved is an isk earned.
Not only do you lose out on ore by simply being afk and not resetting your (not) lazorz, but you put yourself into a position to be the easiest possible gank.
Hi Tessa,
It’s a fair question. I am not losing ore while AFK because I’m watching an anime with my son, I’m taking a walk with my wife, I’m changing the oil for my car, I’m AFK, and doing things that would otherwise keep me from playing. So if I point my miners at the two biggest rocks in the belt, then walk away, it’s all gravy.
Mining to too boring to actively do it.
Weirdly I have never once been ganked afk mining.
If I am ganked tomorrow I just chalk it up to the price of business and carry on. I’ve made enough money selling Typhoons to cover the cost of a hundred Mackinaws.
If anything I think we need more ganking, more excitement, more friction in Highsec.
Highsec is too safe.
