Version 18.08 - General Feedback

Having a weird issue with docked / tabbed windows. My inventory its tab is a tinty little rectangle. It didn’t happen before the update:

doesnt matter what people thought was intended…

You shoot something you get negative standings period…thats the mechanic, always has been.

Im sorry Anderson but in this thread you are showing yourself to be really thick and dumb.

That sounded thick and dumb. Not all mechanics based on standings are perfectly alike.

How far in the standings hole are you ?

One side is going to be hostile to you even with a reset.

Indeed, but if I have to choose one side that I prefer to be hostile against, it would definitely be triglavians, much more useful in high sec space.

In that case join “Edencom Defense Initiative” and shoot trigs until your standings are fixed.

That’s what I intend to do, but was hoping not to pay, again, with my time, for other people’s (CCP) mistakes.
Even if I will be enjoying that, I hate being forced into it without being at fault.
I think it would be just and courteous of them to offer such a reset.

Or just go to any emerging conduit and do it yourself

While I don’t really care for the Edencom ships and skins, I do like this part of that Dev Blog:

In addition, a number of selected SKINs and items of apparel have returned to the New Eden Store, including the Ruby Sungrazer and Bloody Hands SKINs. However, other selected SKINs and items, such as the Intaki Syndicate and In Rust We Trust SKINs, will only remain in-store until 18 August. Keep an eye on the New Eden Store for these changes and don’t miss out if there are SKINs or items of apparel you’ve had your eye on for a while!

Lazy = efficient…

Anderson will always misinterpret your statement, don’t waste your time…

I’d add a remark about wrestling pigs, but it got deleted last time I tried it…

Agreed.

Didn’t say it wasn’t. That doesn’t make it any less an act of choosing sides, whether they intended to or no.

So…players were never really given the option to remain neutral. This is a real screw up for the players that would prefer to stay neutral and saw the only way to not get shot at by one side or the other was to go kill a few EDENCOM ships.

Now we’re in the situation of having to choose again, and it is very non-optimal for say…unarmed freighter pilots. It creates no go zones–which would be fine IF the route planner, starmap, UI, contract system, etc would keep up with invaded systems and mark them out of our routes for us…but none of that is true. You don’t find out until you hit a gate along your route that its a minor victory system (or you have to use a website like kybernaut.space to figure it out).

Where do I sign up for the empire faction that gets to kick both Trig and EDENCOM to the curb? When is CCP going to improve the UI to make this forced content navigable? As in, I want to navigate around both of these idiotic factions rather than constantly consulting websites.

I would like to second this…

if you shoot EDENCOM, you are really shooting the Caldari Navy and the other Empires. Go live permanently in Trig territory! but if you are back in high-sec, then CONCORD and the Empire navies should (be able to) shoot you.

I would also add: if a kybernaut has a bad standing with EDENCOM, capsuleers should be able to shoot him/her in invaded systems without drawing CONCORD on themselves. As it is, the rules are stacked against the defense of systems.

If you are a known traitor, you should be criminal.

If you go by this then you shouldn’t be able to be friendly with Gallente and Caldari at the same time.

Why should they? The Trigs are ‘you’re with us or against us’. Glorification or extirpation. No middle ground. Players weren’t given the option to not pay market fees, either. So what?

Same place you go for an empire faction that isn’t party to the CONCORD treaties, since EDENCOM is part of CONCORD: you don’t.

Except the Gallente and Caldari are both part of CONCORD, and do a lot of business with one another. Don’t mistake Faction Warfare—conducted under the auspices of CONCORD and established and limited by international treaty, no less—as real warfare in New Eden. It’s a bloodsport, and until the Floseswin incident, all four empires played by exactly the same rules.

horse ■■■■, ■■■■■■■ with standings mechanics is low, you guys should have had this set this way right from the start, not change a major mechanic part way through

‘People you shot at will shoot back’ isn’t exactly ‘a major mechanic’ change.
