You just responded to my notification to CCP.

I keep searching systems for populated mining belts and not finding a single one in low. I just searched 7 systems and didn’t find a single thing to mine. Let me tell you how fun that is. I don’t have all my life to play this game like some do, I have a few hours every couple days. I don’t want to spend it searching for ore and finding that every system around me minus high sec is barren.

Undue the mining changes. Find a better way to balance things

I stopped by Jita today… It doesn’t look any different inside than any other station that I’ve been in.

After experiencing the various ā€˜updates’ recently, here’s my two cents on the subject.

First the ESS. I fail to see how this is supposed to generate more combat since my experience thus far has been the complete opposite. The idea of having to babysit a stupid device for up to three hours (depending on my luck of available playtime) just to receive full payment for any ratting done in the system is an absurd amount of time. What I’m already seeing this boiling down to are lone wolves roaming around in nano-tanked ships which can be difficult to catch to begin with (primarily because such players are incredibly picky on their targets and aren’t really looking for a fight, just an easy kill) buzzing around at range while the defense fleet sits on the gate itself, unable to give chase to kill said target because of the combination no-warp zone and no-cloak zone making it all but impossible to catch up to anybody who knows what they’re doing. The end result is a whole bunch of waiting around until the thief gets bored and leave. How, exactly, is this meant to be fun for either side? I’m certainly not having fun wasting my time and I’m no longer interested in ratting when I’m in a down-time in my area with a low alliance population online. Why waste my effort when I can go play another game and have fun?

Then the agency. What the hell went wrong with the development of this thing that the most rudimentary basics of navigation are outright missing? We have the exploration tab that runs off the side of the screen but if you just happen to have a mouse with no mouse wheel, you’re ā– ā– ā– ā–  out of luck. How hard was it to program or hell, even realize the importance of a scroll bar that players can click on in order to scroll to the side?

Then the inconsistency with information, in this case how CCP is willing to give the raiding parties all the information you possibly need about how much potential reward there is in any given ESS in the entire galaxy, thus letting them cherry-pick their targets instead of roaming about searching for those lucrative ESS chips. Those in the mining, manufacturing, and exploration side have never been handed such information on a golden platter by CCP. It really does reek of favoritism.

The Clone Bay changes are just annoying because it’s more clutter on the screen. I don’t need, nor desire a bloody icon for each clone I have, I just want a simple damn list of the clones available to me.

Coupling this update with the mineral redistribution changes, I will not be renewing my subscription. When that time comes. I’ll simply roll everything into alpha status, reship the best I can, and spend that subscription money elsewhere.

The Problem is, we will ā€œget used to itā€ but it will stay a pain in the ass.
Yes, i also got used to the new Skill Queue back in the day, but it still is a nightmare to work with. I’d rather have the Skill Queue on the right side than on the Bottom => more Info would be displayed, and also its easier to maintain the skill queue, instead of having to scroll 5 Million times up and down to reaarrage skills. But thats another Topic

ESS Changes are garbage, veldspar shouldn’t be worth more than Arknor and Bistot. Fix your game, fire the guy that made such a terrible decision. All 4 omega accounts cancelled untill this is fixed. Don’t ignore the overwhelming majority of your player base that disagree with the mining changes and the ESS changes.

The only people I can find that are even remotely happy with these changes are people like bjornbee or other streamers who are constantly given free crap in game and there’s no risk for them. They don’t care, all they care about is content for their viewers.

we are still trying to understand the activity percentage. in one system , thieves only steal from the ESS but never engage . the percentage keeps dropping. as such the value of ratting keeps dropping even more. if the thieves wont fight, the ratters lose even more isk from this change. seems like theft should count as part of this index modifier. it is, afterall, intruder activity. Also, when the intruders run and we catch and kill them in adjacent systems it doesnt help our index at all. there is an inate sense of unfairness in this mechanic. (i know, life isnt fair).

And here I was hoping this was the new look for capsules. It looked awesome! Your accidental ā€˜ā€˜incorrect’’ rendering looked good. Capsules need a new look, but I guess we’re back to the same old boring pods we’ve been in since the start.

Uedema Gankfest has become such a nightmare, many players now refuse to go to Jita. When little corvette gangs are taking down some of the largest ships, Freighters. Something is seriously wrong. Alternative routes are camped to death as well. Rancer literally is death to anyone except the most fool hardy or sneaky. You can backdoor into Jita, but that is a risk many players are not willing to take. And there are too many locations where even in Null you might not know it but its a death pocket, ieg the gates are camped by bubbles. I think CCP needs to do a full on reset of the network. And change up the routes.

So its a real headache right now for players. The hauler players are hurting bad, industrialists are getting desperate because the zone specific ores have kicked them in the shins. Pocheven is almost always empty although some players have figured out they can corvette it, and win big if they are daring enough. Everything is a mess. Bounties got removed, took away capacity to mark players who gank or pirate for attack. The Kill Marks are worthless because the attacker pays to activate them, instead of getting a bounty to kill that person.

They need to minimize the NPC mining fleets. Half the time you are competing against Rocquals that have only moved up to LS to mine since Null got hammered, and the other half is the the Turbo Charged NPC Mining fleets that break all the rules like quad mining laser Ventures and Retrievers that have massively upscaled holds and equipment to boot.

Mining regions are goofed when they tweaked the game with Ore changes some regions like Geminate became Pyroxes only, everything in that region is Pyroxes period.

In PI, can you put some kind of more visible marker on other character’s networks please. Just making them really small and difficult to see is not really very interesting gameplay. The gameplay element should be using judgement and scanning skills proficiency to choose the best site, not how good your eyesight is.

not sure what you mean, but since the ore update ice spawns are not the same as before by intention

Gyus ESS is just so a stupid system. Intel on every farming system that is just cheating. An average bounty risk is awfull and so inequal. In some system you can’t just not kill someone because no ones come to you and so the bounty discrease … ESS ok on the form it gives content but you have to change how it is done.
Actually with ESS and the changes with ORE nul sec is dying. Really what is now happening is just abnormal.

Just shows how little you know, normal player figures for Jita are normally in the range of 1600 to 2400 , so they are reduced.

na, I have an alt there. ~1200 are also not uncommon.

Why does this game need a 100 megabyte patch every single day lately? Are you guys using a really inefficient file system that makes it hard to effect small changes? I don’t know how any of that is accomplished on your end but it seems like every day there’s either a game patch or a launcher patch. I want to be patient, but I also want to say ā€œjeeze, get it together.ā€ Clearly someone is being rushed and quality is suffering as a result. Maybe if you sell more skill points your employees will work faster so your execs can leech more money off the company!
