They would be a bit too ideal if you get what I mean. Cloaky nullified frigate dealing battleship levels of dps?
I fly them a lot and I’m glad they aren’t nullified.

Well first off, it would be a very limited nullification requiring manual input (this new one)
Second, BS levels of DPS are not all that, as you cant hit most things that can one shot you.
BS damage application completely makes the DPS itself irrelevent
Thirdly, it would make the ship more fun.
But I do get that CCP isnt about making EvE fun.
Quite the opposite it seems.
Cool. Now fix the helios please.
It would only be fair if the modules did cut the turrets/launches points by half, rounded down. Some ships can’t use even one drone with the 2.5 Mbit/s that is left from 5 Mbit/s.
Thank you for the invitation to this discussion.
Hi, I’m sure the “Stargate Trailblazers” jump gate changes are already set in stone, but as someone who has lived in Genesis for many years on and off, I would like to explain why I think that the Genesis → The Forge connection detracts from the game.
To be clear, I have long felt that given Eve lore, Genesis should be a bit more connected to the rest of the universe, and I think the connection between Genesis and the “backwater” bottom half of Metropolis accomplishes this. The connection to Hykotta (3j from Jita!?), however, only serves to bring the trade hubs all closer together again, and severely detracts from any sense of regionality in Amarr space.
Since the addition of Trig space, Genesis has felt central between Amarr and Caldari space. Now Amarr and Caldari space are simply conjoined again. The trade route I use, for example, has been Jita → Vecamia → Amarr, which is 24 jumps with one low. This will now be 11 jumps, if my math is correct. Amarr will again be farther from half of its own region than it is from Jita.
Another reason this connection makes no sense to me is because the top half of Genesis (the high sec half) was already well within shopping range of Dodixie (2j at its closest), and the bottom half (low sec folks) already have relatively convenient shopping in Amarr, (Noranim is 6j from amarr). Does the whole of empire space really need to be in shopping range of Jita?
Nearby shopping may sound like a plus, but how is there supposed to be any sense of regionality when all of the hubs in empire space are less than 15 jumps from all others? What do you think this does to local industries? Here’s a hint: one unit of compressed veldspar (0.15 m^3) is magically 27 times less bulky than the minerals it contains. RIP physics.
I think a much much much better gate connection have made would have been a “back door” kind of connection between Amarr factional warfare space and the massive Amarr space low sec pocket. As it stands, -10 pilots the Amarr space low sec pocket can’t get to Amarr factional warfare space directly; they need to take a rather indirect route through Gallente space (Kor-Azor → Genesis → Kador → Domain → Sinq Laison → Everyshore → The Bleak Lands). A gate connection between say Gademam or Zatamaka and Amarr FW space would have brought Amarr space together as a region, rather than erasing the entire concept of Amarr space by conjoining it with the Forge.
Like I said, I’m sure this change has already been firmly decided upon, however I hope that my explanation here will convince the lovely folk at CCP that in the future, they should consider opening a dialogue with the locals before putting them right on top of the scum of the universe (Jita)
P.S. I sincerely hope that no jump distance changes will be made with this patch, because if this change puts Genesis in jump range of The Forge… well I hope I need not explain that one.
Hoping someone actually reads this wall of text XD,
JA
