It’s not players logged in, it is characters. That’s a very big difference. I would wager that the actual players active on the server is very close to falling into single digit thousands.
Couple years back after dt CCP busted multiboxing, when it usually showed 18k it was at 5-6k, so yeah its not representative. Bet the numbers are down a bit after the cloak cganges, now there isnt 100’s of AFK campers on anymore.
Widow Rof is 7.5 not as stated 10 in the patch notes.
Are we supposed to have 10?
That is a lot of difference.
Just one thing redeemer is fine.
For black ops combat you just go in and use 3200 cap to fire your guns, kill stuff and get out.
So the burst damage is pretty nice.
The patch notes website is indeed wrong, this should read that the rate of fire on the widow is now 7.5% from its previous value of 5%.
We’ll get that fixed up.
What’s the point of logi drone bonuses on a drone dps ship?
It conflicts with the whole idea of the Sin as a drone dps ship! I’ve been trying to think of different fits, but just cannot see a situation in which it is useful. And even if a battleship (with low scan resolution!) is fast enough to keep a bomber alive with frigate-level logistics, any of the other battleships could do the same with 66% effectiveness without sacrificing most of their dps.
The logi drone bonus on the Sin is both insignificant and in conflict with the purpose of the hull. Can the Sin get a useful bonus instead, please? EWAR? Hybrid guns?
(I love the rest of the Enter the Portal update by the way, just this particular thing that really irks me)
What is up with you guys heavily monetizing the new fireblade skins? 230 dollars for the pack? I can’t purchase them for PLEX on the store? Lately you’ve offered obscenely priced skins that are A not that great and B, who is going to pay 500 USD for the domi skin? I was looking forward to these new fireblade skins, you put effort into them. Much less effort into the Iceblade’s, you didn’t even change the effect colors on them so they are still orange on a blue skin lul. Get your heads out of the sky, stop trying to push these 200-500 dollar packages. There’s pages upon pages of people laughing at the attempt on multiple discords. It’s come to be a bit of a meme. When I login and see an Add for a 200-500 dollar pack thats “limited time” and comes with “free” skins, it makes it real hard to want to do anything lol. Instant turn off. I quit BDO for the payment model, I now see its slowly getting ingrained into this game. EvE will die in the next 5 years, PA will make their money and we’ll all be out a game lol.
Ignore player feed back
Make blob size larger
Receive pat on head from blue donut overlords.
Sounds like it’s been time for some new leadership over there lol.
Well they also killed the Empire Covert Ops to boot. People are going to concentrate in the Astero now ontop of that. I told them to remove the Survey Probe and put the other bonuses there. Instead they went for the combat bonuses. Good job.
I see it more as a defensive act. A cloaked ship is a potential (or MORE LIKELY) threat, so saying it is an offensive act would be the same as saying a real battleship using radar to find out if enemy are around is committing an offensive act… it’s not.
Having a radar-like pulse to determine if there is a threat within range is not offensive in nature. It might make you mad you cannot easily sneak up on someone or camp to spy on passing ships, but to call it an offensive action is just incorrect… in my humble opinion.
(but I cannot see how it could be considered an offensive action if you think of it as a form of radar like IRL ships have, and unlike actual IRL radar, this only has a chance to decloak, not an automatic 100% decloak)
That shuttle is super cute in my opinion, I love it… now if only I could find blueprints to make a few more
… I did not intend to make it sound “easy” as in no work or skill. That word was a poor choice for me to use. My bad.
We are also trying out a new feature flagging system so to start with this interface will only be available to a subset of newly created characters.
What is this supposed to mean: Flagging a system.
I think they mean a system (for some newbies) where you can now flag a feature.
Flag it as… what? is another matter.
Weren’t patch notes meant to prevent “features” from being tossed over the wall ? The information content is near zero. And, whatever you have in the cooker, please remember to include an extra feature to allow us to switch any new “feature flagging” system OFF, thanks.
Make them a structure that takes a fuel,
hi sec carebear and pubbie tears as a consumable
I think the biggest issue now that I’ve had time to think about it is.
I find a play style, a niche, something that I actually want to do. I skill, take the time to research the thing I want to do, setup the required infrastructure, buy the stuff etc. But then the thing I wanted to do changes due to game mechanics and you either have to change/adjust or depending on impact, totally change your thing in the game.
I’ve been playing this game for 10 years +. I’ve been through multiple situations where the above has happened, the ones that have effected me directly are:
-NPC AI targeting changes. (adjusted but effected available targets / solo play).
-Carrier Jump Range and Drone changes. (Killed gameplay for people to be more independent moving stuff and time sync for training).
-Locator Agents broke for player owned structures + Contact list online/Offline status (Killed highsec war hunting gameplay plus agent missioning time sync for access to locator agents).
-Scarcity - ice - Skilled characters, created setup, invested time (Killed gameplay since no ice spawns where I set things up, now 3 weeks no ice. the additional issue with ice spawns are the random places they can spawn, just because you have ice in a nearby system, if its right next to the pipe gate, you are risking a lot to mine it.).
It feels like we invest time just for something to change or be taken away, you find something you want to do and then that play style is broken. The issue I think is that there is no afterthought for players effected by these changes by CCP. Like, hey, we broke your game play, but here, have an Ice Cream.
Its a shame because Eve is a great game with such potential but its hard to keep wanting to play, to invest time, if something changes again it seems not worth the hassle, its not like the changes affect my gameplay in a positive way, its always a negative, a set back. Why? It should be the other way around? Enhance my game play, make it more fun? Not more frustrating?
The decloak warning sound is an instance of really good sound design. Unmistakable, unmissable, stings like hornet thorn. Unlike the gong or other instances of misplaced, unnecessary sounds, this one is really good.
Should I make it my wife’s ringtone? Hers is the alarm when you reach hull now!
