Version 19.11 - Known Issues

Observation;
Doing some mining with a Prospect, T2 modulated Deep core Miner II with Complex Type A II Crystals. the Expected Yield from the laser is 2236m3/180s.
Go and mine some Arkonor when the cycle ends the returned m3 is 1248m3. This is close to half the expect yield.
Waste or not, the yield and given m3 do not match.
See the image below for the difference between what the module tells me and what the show info tells.

this is an absolute outrage where is all my ice

no ice in any ice belt anywhere

I’m really disappointed with this one, I’ve mentionned it a few times in the 2nd threadnaught, and have even tagged CCP Psych (6 days ago).
Do they even have a team of QA ? What is their work process with quality control ?

Another one: the Miasmos doesn’t get the 10% per level bonus to Mining Hold. This also was notified by a few people long ago.

The only guy at CCP who knows how to fix it is on leave…

Leave it alone that is…

I am hoping it is a bug, but there is a part of me that would not be surprised if CCP doubled the amount of Ice and “forgot” to tell us the anoms were only going to be spawning once a day now.

Edit: I see it on the list now. Hopefully it gets fixed soonish.

t2 mining lasers not working in l4 npc mining mission and skiff drone not applying bonus

i ran l4 mining mission in a skiff
Arisite Envy it has 9000 units Green Arisite

i tried t1 Strip Miner I t2 mining drones this worked producing 0 residue
i then tried Modulated Strip Miner II with Variegated Asteroid Mining Crystal Type A I the message was is not config for green arisite
i could not mine with t2
Green Arisite is a close cousin to Gneiss, although it is much less commonly found
Variegated Asteroid Mining Crystal Type A I A custom-cut frequency crystal whose refractive qualities are specifically suited to boosting yield when mining Variegated Ores such as Crokite, Dark Ochre, and Gneiss.
i trained all new mining skills to l4 to allow testing of this
skiff notes problems and feed back
the skiff with 3 mining laser upgrades now mines 25% worse than a mackinar that has a dc and 2 mining upgrades in the low and has a worse tank by about 10000ehp much less ore hold jumps 8 seconds slower flys at a snails pace cant fit a sheld tank even though its a sheild bonus ship

the combat drones on the skiff weren’t applying bonuses either

we used to have 3 choices in the mining range
proc / skiff doesn’t mine that grate but is small ish ore hold nippy and tanky as hell and you could do things with baiting and attacking

retriever / mack mines ok big hold not a good tank but solid mining ship

coveter / hulk mines like a beast but you better watch local

you have basically made the skiff meaning less and obsolete and destroyed the variation in mining styles and meta well done
if its a case we cant use t2 mining lasers in mining missions because of the waste mechanic are you going to ajust rewards in line to the slower running of them the rewards were never good but now there even worse

Need to use non-residue laser, harvesters, and scoops when doing missions.

Abyssal ore processing skill book on sale in jita, but available in Trig LP Store for isk and navigation logs.

Though the logs haven’t been return from original trig ore skill book purchases.

Trig resources anomalies have same issues as other where even ventures cannot navigate around tge rocks and the spawn is so close to deadspace warp-in you don’t have chance to avoid warp-in crashing into rocks and bouncing out.

Also makes near impossible to warp-out when NPC RAT’s fleets warp-in, if it’s drifters/sleepers kiss your ships goodbye as there’s no counter for miners with escape option bugged.

Yep, because of stupid and useless waste mechanic. They prefered to make the T2 unusable instead of oversizing the L4 missions ore, or to remove waste from all modules and only apply it to Type C crystal.
Waste has to go.

It’s not as bad as some make out.

One player posted mining log and it showed one in eight cycles wasted ore to dust.

So for 8× 419m3 = 3352m3 mined with only 419m9 of remaining resources turned to dust.

Yes there will be some poor bugger that may so unlucky that the fail the 34% chance roll and waste resources to dust per cycle.

But also the opposite where someone is so lucky they never roll the 34%.

It’s a bit of luck involved and player choice to risk or play it safe.

Agree with @Etch_Masuka that the existing / new module names are confusing. I ended up buying the Scoop BPO, then realized in was actually the existing one, and later had to figure out that the new Gas Cloud Harvester BPOs have not been seeded.

the biggest problem is if they wanted to create a mining grief mechanic it was fairly easy all they had to do was leave everything as it was and create a new third crystal for the existing t2 module and create a 300% with only 30% going into the hold easy maths for them to play with . then adjust ore fields after

Was the amount of ore required to complete the mission reduced in order to allow the mission to complete with a T1 module in the same amount of time that it would previously have taken you to complete it with T2 hardware?

why you dont read dev 2 post? toolti[ is brokean and its known. Version 19.11 - Known Issues - #2 by CCP_Paragon

Gas Scoops and Gas Harvesters use the same module icon. Since they are not the same class of modules, they should not use the same icon, similar to how Miners and Strip Miners do not use the same icon.

And in addition to the confusing names for existing players (which don’t matter to CCP), the icons are the same which makes it even harder to differentiate between the different modules. Just yet another rushed and not finished patch from CCP.

As I bought and directly injected the new skillbooks, after confirming a purchase the window would focus back on my “show info” panel which had 4 stacked panes I had for the 4 skillbooks I wanted to buy, and they would all try to render at the same time within the single “show info” window:

The fitting window shows how much is left, rather than how much you’ve used.

You are right of course. I was thrown off balance because I couldn’t get it to go online when I had 204 cpu available and the XL ASB only needs 200. It seemed to count it double and removing all modules then refitting didn’t solve it. But now after I’ve relogged, I can online it just fine. Weird.
