Version 20.02 - General Feedback

no, slightly blinged with 2 navy EANM and 2 True Sansha medium reps.

Could CCP please quickly fix the error with the GG data sites. They are tier 3, which makes them annoyingly hard to scan if you don’t want to have anything to do with the event. That the event explo sites were only tier 1 was the greatest positive aspect of the Whovian event. You only needed 1 or in some cases 2 scan cycles to find out if a sig is a tier 1 relic or not. Tier 3 requires 3 to 4 cycles, which makes this a whole lot more frustrating for those who want to participate and for those who don’t want to.

This is actually pretty common. They want the scan sites to be hard so that non-bonused ships have trouble scanning them down. The Interstellar Convergence was the exception

Yep. People having isk and being out in space doing ■■■■ was completely damaging. You are completely and utterly wrong. I was there. You must not have been if you think today’s Eve is anything like it was back then. We were playing a much better game.

It is pretty funny that we all thought we were finally getting a buff, publicly cheering their praises… then we find out it was a big nothing.

Oh well, back to other games while playing eve just a little bit.

Back on the point of “I don’t want to waste time scanning these event sites” — What if scan probes always resolved the event site type or name, at any level of probe strength. You’d still have to do the work of getting it to 100%

It should be the norm, not the exception.

The nebula in the site looks quite pixalated.

The reason why it SHOULDN’T be that way is to ensure a modicum of protection for those running them. It limits what competition they will have and seriously hinders people hunting them. It evens the scales a bit and makes sure the hacking sites are for true explorers, while the combat sites are for combat ships. Do you have a good reason why it should be otherwise beyond your personal convenience?

I don’t want anything to do with this event and those who do want to engage in the event have a harder time doing so, for no good reason. It doesn’t limit competition either. Anyone any ship can scan tier 3 datas. It only takes a bit more time and that makes it more frustrating for everyone involved. The tier of the data site doesn’t make them unavailable for non “true explores” either. Someone who doesn’t want to run datas is not going to scan because the combat sites are anoms and don’t need to be scanned at all.

With regards to the “new” clothing items from the Obsidian Opulence line:

Would have been really cool if we had gotten a darkgreen-golden version for Serpentis and angelcamo-silver version for Angel Cartel. Plain black is nice and universally good, but those versions would have been something that would actually tempt me to buy them.

I completely agree. I actually quit scanning during the entire Dr who event because the amount of useless sites that I had to sift through was absurd.

This is a very simple fix. All they have to do is change the color of the signature in our scanner menus. Make them blue or pink or purple or anything really that isn’t red or green so I can avoid them.

Some folks like them and that’s great I hope you have a blast. I don’t want anything to do with these events and forcing me to scan and ignore them just to do my daily routine wastes my already limited in game time and annoys me. That is not a good way to drive participation in a video game.

While many players expected the Gala event, it wasn’t promoted well: CCPlease remember the “future updates” tag for news items: it hasn’t been used this year.

So i did the site again with the exact same fit and it seems that on the first try the second to last and the last wave (Boss) overlapped. thats why it was barely tankable.

not resolved, unfortunately.

Also, minimum width of neocom still is much too wide

Meh I don’t really like where it is going for mining and compression. The way I read the “Fleet Compression Logistics” skill other fleet members will be able to use bigger ships for their own compression needs.
I liked more the previous model where only the ship owner could compress, and at higher efficiency than stations. I was planning to equip a tractor beam and buy ore cheap on the field and compress it for myself…

I have the large triangle with the ! in it with the flashing orange circle.

I am an alpha clone and can not train any skills as I way beyond the maxed skill points. It is flashing any ways. the only reason i can think is the 12,000,000 skill points I have not spent.

For those complaining that the data sites are “too hard to scan” need to quit crying. It is not suppose to be “easy” like the Dr. Who event. The Dr. Who event was a newbro friendly event, the Gala is not. While newbros are encouraged to try it, it is not geared towards them and actually requires some knowledge/SP to run.

Quit crying about an event that is actually somewhat fun.

Here it comes,

Is it the sole purpose to piss off the player base, just wondering that’s what it seems like. Why don’t you just put a permanent window in front and center of screen, The ui on skills was changed and it sucks, can’t readjust the window garbage. The necon can’t hold as many shortcuts. Who the heck is running the show. They are doing a terrible job. I don’t have the time to mention all the junk changes, but they just keep piling up. Is there anyone on the payroll that gives two sh*** about EVE anymore. I’ll wait.

No one who wants to find the sites, has complained thus far. The people who do not want to run the sites - are complaining. They would like a way to filter them out, so they don’t waste time narrowing down each scan until an event site name is returned.

It also would’ve been nice if we’d gotten a men’s jacket that isn’t buttoned six inches too high. The button should be at the waist, not the bottom of the rib cage, and as a result the jacket gathers at the wrong point. You can see it, too: it should gather at the point where it starts to widen for the hips. The sleeves are also a good two inches too short. Look at where those cuffs are. Raise his arm up to shake someone’s hand, and the cuff is well above his wrist.

defeats the whole purpose of having to scan through anomalies if you can just filter out for ones you don’t want. Would also make it much easier for those who want to run them to find them which is no fun either, as having to find them is part of the battle.
