Version 22.01 - Equinox - General Feedback

Please add more vanilla rally points back to the game. Under the old system there would be 4 rally points in any slightly active system. Under the new they’re in a bad place.

2x Den
2x Hidden Den 2x Forsaken Den 2x Forlorn Den 2x Rally Point
3x Hidden Rally Point
3x Forsaken Rally Point
3x Forlorn Rally Point

Please at least 3x. They’re not interchangeable with the other rally points. Different escalations etc.

Some thoughts on the new null changes…

A./ I visited some NPC null areas and found every system is absolutely packed with metenoxes. Commenting this fact with some multiboxing miners i know, they replied that if this abundance of moon goo drops prices, they’ll simply stop playing (unfortunately they won’t give me their stuff).

B./ Working out the numbers, it seems impossible for small alliances to hold any sov. I know several smaller nullsec alliances near empire systems that used to have lots of anomalies and a Jumpbridge, allowing easier hisec exit for entities living farther away (which was also an income). Now apparently only a few systems have the powergrid/workforce necessary to keep the bridge and have a major upgrade installed at the same time.

On the other hand, Chinese bots Ishtar farming on the edges of the galaxy (truesec -1 to -0.85) need only a Major 2 to keep their happy lives going on. And big alliances don’t even care about all the systems they own but don’t use. No small to medium alliance would dare to start a sov war in Detorid or Branch for example, even if the ADM was zero.

Best case scenario for the sov holding small guy? Just give it away to a bigger entity and become a renter. I guess that’s one way to “reinvigorate nullsec”. Just give it all to 10-12 big alliances and they can add more rentals to their excel list. :joy:

I imagine the old CCP devs must be crying with pain with the path the game has entered. Nowadays, 6 out of 10 patches deal with SKINS and out of 100 people i happen to know, only one said he actually got all the skin skillbooks. Of course in another instance he also mentioned that he likes the new Star Wars franchise after Disney bought it. But hey, everybody has the right to an opinion.

By the way, you do realize that a military 5 system has 24+ ratting anomalies, but with the new sov a major 2 gives (in the best truesec) only 12, yes? Which means that it’s much easier for a dropper to just warp randomly to a haven and have increased chances to covert cyno a ratter. Not that i have anything against hotdropping, but if the ratters stop farming because of the fewer anoms, there will be noone left to hotdrop on

Just my (very long) 2 cents.

How can I turn these Skyhook circles off? They serve no purpose to me, are distracting and nothing but UI clutter. Worst of all, they only show up on one character. Or are these just temporary and only Poco-to-Skyhook conversion timers?

Posting again to update my previous post.

A few points from a null-sec resident.

The patch was marketed as reinvigorating null sec, the marketing team did a great job.

This still stands, I think everyone did a great job of marketing the patch and explaining the new features and functionality. I also believe that at it’s core the functionality added to the game was all a really good concept.

After the release of the power requirements, it does seem to be the opposite of ‘reinvigorating’ as it has nerfed sov null’s ability to customise null-sec massively.

Since the release of the deeper systems in Equinox, it’s all been pretty poor news from a null-sec side. Metanox mechanics for repairing structures and carrier changes were fantastic, and are creating good content. The same for the old Skyhooks although I do agree a window of some description was needed.

The isk generation activities in null are still outstripped by other areas, the new mining anoms are still tiny and for the price of holding sov, fueling upgrades, and deploying ships into null you get roughly 30m per hour in a site.

This is the same as Ishtar ratting.

With current prices it takes;

10 hours to buy an average battleship hull

16 hours to buy a fitted T3C

96 hours to plex an account for one month

This can obviously be improved upon by running CRABs in supers, or capitals, but again the risk vs reward is just not there.

With the high barriers to entry of generating ISK in null, it leads to fewer reasons to engage, greater hesitency, less large-scale fights.

Anecdotally (and potentially your data can back it up) Eve was at it’s best during large conflicts. That’s when people knew they could take fights and replace their losses easily.

There’s already very few conflict drivers in null and Equinox makes it worse by stagnating income, reducing the ability for alliances to build tall, and reducing content opportunities with the skyhook windows.

As it stands I believe a starting point to truly ‘reinvigorate’ null sec would be to;

  • Increase ratting bounties from new Equinox sites
  • Introduce group ratting anoms with payouts similar to Incursions at a high power cost
  • Increase mining anoms to have similar payouts to pre-equinox R16 mining
  • Hire an economist
  • Allow small gangs to disrupt null upgraded systems

this also comes to equinox making war to take space less attractive as the amount of systems that could take a jb on its own are small so if you want to create a bridgehead to take sov its nearly impossible. and then when you do get the space its not like its anything better then what you probably already have

Здравствуйте, в нулях совсем нечего копать! Камни маленькие, руды мало!
Верните колоссалы

Another event, another month without a single freaking escalation from regular combat anomalies. RNG suck already, and everytime there is an event, it feels like my luck suck x1000

A guy in my corp got an escalation.
Since it is Halloween, maybe a witch cast a curse on you?

Nice texture quality on these fluff roids. This looks like a Kinder Egg Surprise.

Great. Daily challenges are now broken; first, did not register when one was complete, five minutes later cannot find any challenges at all…

I’ve got the same issue, plus login isssue, plus NES not opening issues, for about 12 hours now.

Motd:
as much bugs as possible

Finally this crap show of an event is over. Over 800 additional signatures and wasted time accordingly this month without any additional gains (I don’t want to participate in this crap). I sincerely hope that CCP next year fixes this event and only subjects players to this unreasonable signature spam after they joined a side.

It’s a shame they didn’t fix the jump bridges that are right by the stargate… Alliances have completely safe movement, Interdiction Nullifier on every industrial ship and gate + bridge + Covert Ops Cloaking Device what kind of imbalance is this?

Regarding the ice drones for the Rorqual. I did not see the need to revert the changes. speeding those up was a good step in the right direction.

fast ice excavs are a yield nerf

Hello,

I hate the new Ship Info window.
It’s plain stupid in normal mode and you force me to learn icons in compact mode.
Instead of writing out the information about what is in the Tabs you force me to hover it just to figure out what it means. I don’t wanna learn your icons. Don’t try to force me to learn what your icons mean. And leave the normal items alone with your ■■■■■■■■.

Your new design make the UI combersome and hard to use.

I’ll ask again.
Why was the Small Cap Battery I BPO removed from NPC seeding on the market?
