I am NOT a fan of the new Ship Information Window. While it is neat and has some interesting flare that would be attractive to new(ish) players, I personally just want the stats like all of the other info screens (the old school info screens I guess).
At least let us be able to toggle the screen (it can even be a little hard to find so newbies cannot inadvertently turn it of right away). Then monitor how many people are actually using the new info panel and determine if the community really likes the new interface.
And holy hell is this a lot of wasted space. Like, youād need elephant feet to mistap something in this interface on a phone because youād only see 1 option at a time on any phone screen size.
15 years playing. I have two accounts, and I really only play one character (this one). The rest are just utility alts. Sample size of 1, etc. But FYI, we do exist.
The players demand absolutely nothing. CCP insists on breaking things, then players demand they get undone to nothing, or at least an option to turn them off.
The Dens you slap on Skyhooks are completly out of balance.
30 Mio isk - in 10 minutes anchored and it takes forever to get rid of them because guess whatā¦
they have reinforce timers Oo (and You can place them wherever you want - as long as its a temperate planet)
the anchoring time is so short, that you actually have to jump with supers on them whilst anchoring - or you run out of time
and by all the stuff you HAVE to do now to actually play within a system in 00 it feels like i am 75% babysitter now - skyhooks on lava and ice planets, the dens, skyhooks in general if you wanna make pi you need a second toon to clear them so that you actually are able to use them without losing a shipā¦
the new ratting sites ā¦ why do i have to recall my drones after every wave ??? do you call that game play ?
i mean it cant be against botsā¦ because you would just say the bot to recall all drones after the wave - it only annoys active rattersā¦
or ccp bought shares of ratting bots (irony)
you told us that we could switch the system mining upgrades on and ofā¦not
playing this content is like slaping your own face all day long.
āfew humans cannot think of every single little or major usage scenario or unintended consequenceā - mostly disagree, poorly thought through changes are in the āincompetenceā territory. These are professionals, they should see a few steps ahead. If a player can tell consequences, devs should tell them too, and not learn it the hard way, which happens all the time.
And their hick ups are so basic that do not require genus to figure out. So i say there is an issue with professional competence.
EXAMPLE: If they never intended to nerf smart bombers or Edencome fleets why in a world touch NPC spawns at all? How many man-hours spent on useless change that broke game mechanics?
Further more instead of admitting mistake and rolling it back they fix it with bounty increase that will affect inflation. Incompetence + stubbornness + denial - very very worrisome
Thatās what the CSM exists for - and what it does, I believe. āWe told them soā is probably a common enough response from that group.
CCP will do what it thinks best. If it is proved wrong, then it will make amends, Iām sure, since that would serve its own best interests.
Errors of policy and design, detail and execution abound in many areas involving human agency. Some examples I could give (but wonāt) have far more serious consequences than an experimental chunk of entertainment being bestowed upon the querulous part of a largely appreciative video game player base.
CCP has said, regarding the āMarauder nerfā, that it would keep the situation under review. I presume the same will apply to the other elements of the package.
CCP makes mistakes, doubtless. I just happen to think that, on balance, the product is still well worth playing.
Finally got to sit down and play. What the eff is up with all the space junk at sites now? I had to cyno my carrier out because I warped in right on top of a rock and couldnāt align to anything without taking the 150m/s path around
Feedback in the form of a question: did the Revenant SKINr changes cause Paragon Hub sales numbers to fall off a cliff? Is anyone moving inventory these days?
Iām not sure if players understand how the new listing system works. A lot of players reported missing listing and other issues, so Iām not sure if thatās related - but yes, listings appear way down.
ā¢ The top section will show all SKINs for the specific ship youāre in.
ā¢ Then thereās an āALL SKINsā secion below that (a search or filter option would be great here, such as ship type, PLEX vs. ISK, most recent, most expensive, cheapest, etc).
ā¢ Then we have Corporation (Alliance) SKINs.
ā¢ Finally, we have āTargeted Only at Meā - which are direct SKIN sales (player to player).
The new patterns are still fairly expensive and PLEX has gone through the roof, so these are no doubt contributing factors as well.
Thatās fair, yeah. The listings got jostled around a little, so itās possible that people are having a harder time navigating to where listings are actually viewable. And I had read about people having issues with visibility of their listings. I actually hopped on another toon because of that just to make sure what I was posting had normal visibility, and they were visible. UI difficulties? Low demand? Who knows.
Iām hoping itās as you say, a spike in Jita PLEX or something similar. My worry has always been that CCP might wiggle the ease and access of sequencing without requisite skills a little too far toward players that wanted skin customization for free from the start anyway. Once that community has that access, itās reasonable for them to want to keep it ā or, if they canāt keep it, to avoid the marketplace that denies them that access in the first placeā¦
To celebrate, Paragon is halving sequencing time for the next two weeks! Plus, the New Eden Store offers a Brand Manager Expert System, helping your team jumpstart their Paragon Hub journey.
This kind of thing, while fun, sure, only inches us closer to that type of scenario, IMO. Fingers crossed that thereās some kind of return of demand once ezmode sequencing lets up.
