Thanks for the compact mode on the ship info, but it’s missing the ship picture. Sorry to bother.
Thank you for the return of the ship insurance details to the Ship Info window. Much appreciated!
2024-11-19.1 “Added number field manipulation at the end of sliders in SKINR studio.”
Thank you very much it solve a lot of things.
About SkinR ;
The recent Hive Collapse patern added with the expansion have just 6 rows of hexagons but Biosecurity Responders skin have 7 rows (clean see on Punisher), if it’s intended can you complete Biosecurity Responders collection skins ?
First thx for the fix on the dreadnouts, but can you also delay the target of the small friggets?
Since they warp in they point, scam, web 8x as fast the carrier fighter making it impossible to keep t1 fighter alive. With t2 you can barly make it but no errors allowed. Also the bounty increase had 0 effect on carriers sadly which contradicts the statement that is there to benefit active ratting vs passive ones.
If you want big toys out there you have to make it worth and with the increased efford needed to keep the fighters barely alive its just another hidden punishment, carrier pilots were fine with the forsaken sanctums beeing a marouder only thing but now even the sanctums are annoying to do.
Send the last ppl using that ship some help its so sad to see updates killing feasable methodes of before just to punish smartbomb ratting.
Yes, second this. I used to carrier rat, yes actual active ratting with a big ship in space, but there is no point if I’m going to lose 10mil in fighters every other wave. It doesn’t matter what site. ALL rats instantly target, web and point fighters. Pulling them in and launching again does nothing. They just switch aggro back to fighters as soon as they’re out.
I have one thing to say about the Mercenary Den. Unfortunately, it has a reinforcement timer and is quite long-lived. I was hoping it would be something we needed to replace frequently. I also hoped it could be crafted in significant quantities, with strong demand similar to Crab Beacons. However, the reinforcement timer means that very few Dens will actually be destroyed, thus rarely needing replacement.
Another issue is that they can only be deployed on temperate planets, which severely limits the number of people who can experience the Mercenary Den. I would have preferred it to be more like a Crab Beacon—something we need to protect from locals if we set it up to incite anarchy or deploy locally to run missions in the system to promote development.
By making this a player-owned structure focused on individuals—where each character can control up to five—this design doesn’t fit well in a community-oriented space. EVE players in Null space are generally more communal than individualistic, as corporations and alliances enforce strong rules and guidelines.
My corporation is considering enforcing a 100% tax rate on them (on all revenue / item and mission gains / loot) and restricting the right to deploy them to only the directors of the corporation. Pandemic Horde (PH) has already set an 80% tax on the generated Encrypted Infomorphs.
I hope the Mercenary Dens will receive a rework that allows more players to experience them, rather than leaving them in the hands of a small minority. Currently, those who own many alts have monopolized this structure’s potential deployment, which is unfair to the broader player base.
Now if only Compact Mode would make the rest of the window compact as well. The text is still extremely spaced out and the ship name and pilot “info” are still wasting a ton of space that should be way more compact in Compact Mode.
This is compact:
This is normal:
There is not a single pixel of more displayed info amount gained from compact mode. While it is indeed nice that they “removed” the ship model effectively from the background. It is now also harder to figure out the ship you are looking at because there is no icon of it like in the old window. This fix is a hoax.
While I agree that it can be made to be more compact (and should be) … what are you talking about? It says the ship name literally right there. Are you referring to the generic ‘ship’ icon shown in the 2nd screenshot in the window’s titlebar?
Hes being pedantic as usual. Ccps biggest forum critic. Hardly has anything good to say
Doubt he could actually do better than they can.
Yeah they do look nice but what about the mining ones?
No, I mean the Ship in the background in the second picture, the non-compact version. It clearly shows what ship you are looking at. In the old Ship Info, you had the Icon, which clearly showed the ship without wasting any space.
And that’s all there is. In small font, buried under bigger text and you actually have to read instead of seeing at a glance what you look at. Like this:
Although, after CCP introduced the dynamic, animated icons just before the launch of Revenant, that wasn’t entirely true either any longer.
The text is quite large (and I’m visually impaired), and I fail to see how anyone should reasonably need to rely on the ship thumbnail to determine what ship info window they just opened themselves. There’s so many other things wrong with this window that this really seems like a inconsequential issue.
In any case, I agree that the top half of the window needs to be compactified more. Floating some elements to the right should be more than sufficient, and reducing padding (as always…)
I regularly switch back and forth between several ship infos for comparison reasons. The thumbnail made it easier to see at a glance what I am looking at.
As you mentioned, it’s just one of a whole host of issues with the window. I find it quite comical that people call it pedantic when the Compact Mode does nothing to make the window more compact. It’s just like with the Watch List or the Drone Window, where Compact Mode also does next to or actually nothing.
I think putting these changes inside Compact Mode was just one of the easiest things to do, rather than having to write a new system to handle another layout mode. It might be better to think of it as ‘Alt Layout Mode’ or similar. At this point though, it certainly might be worth CCP renaming it, or indeed add the ability to specify the name of that mode for specific windows.
I feel like there’s probably bigger fish than that though.

This is fair enough.
Gonna have to disagree with you and Geo CCP fan boy but @Dyver_Phycad is correct. He does an excellent job of pointing out various examples of bad programming and useless changes being rushed and pushed out without proper quality control or beta testing.
Along with a whole host of other changes, I also don’t like the new info box layout or the newly redone module icon graphics. The main problem with changes like those is they were not needed and were never asked for or even deemed an issue by the playerbase. Course along with pointing out bad changes, players should also point out the good changes as well…
Most importantly, a lot of these changes are done to either safeguard and validate somebody’s job at CCP or simply was a hairbrained idea resulting from doing a few dozen pub crawls…
Bottom line, if you accept and even praise bad changes, then that’s all you’ll ever get. This game is a product that most players are paying money for and as consumers, we should expect and demand good high quality work, not bad low quality work done by programmers who apparently don’t even play this game…
Been long enough since the bounty increase to confirm that edencom ratting is still not worth it. Why would I put billions on grid for worse ticks than before the patch when I can spin ishtars with less risk for like 1-2m isk less?
you cant spin ishtars anymore - you can reprocess them.
Drones will attack as soon as i launsch them (Praetor). there is no ratting with drones at all - afk or not doesnt matter…
they messed it up again…
agreed this change needs to be reversed
