I just jumped through a gate and the compare tool reset to âHulls & Fitsâ tab. I was comparing Stasis Webifiers.
So the setting Gearwheel only shows in vertical setting?
The made more and better changes in this one patch than they did in the so-called âexpansionâ.
Good job here CCP.
When unchecking Show filters in locations pop out window for current system, then docking and undocking, it causes the search bar to appear again causing you to have to click drop down, check the box then uncheck it to remove search bar.
Can see in the picture where the box is unchecked and the search bar has reappeared after undocking.
- Condensed Scordite - Pyerite reprocessing amount increased from 95 to 103.
Should be 104 (lower rounding)⌠or 105 (upper rounding).
I know you couldnât round to 104.5 for actual 10%, but increasing the yield by 8 (8.4%) instead of 9 (9.4%), or why not 10 (10.5%) just shows poor math skills, or another unnecessary bad/flawed arbitrary decision.
flash point bigest question is my friend often see bot suddenly delete ban
real player more and more hard to production in past 10 years

The new Compare Tool with no possibilities to remove some columns itâs really regression. Too many information which donât need to display.
Second problem: when chosen horizontal alignment the setting with âshow only differentâ is gone.
I love this change! Itâs been ages since I asked for this, but Iâm glad this annoyance has finally been removed. Thanks!
Very nice patch CCP. Excellent work. So many QoL changes that make EVE nice to play.
New compare tool needs a bit of tuning but is a huge jump forward compared to the old one. Love the progress.
Changing the compare tool to do horizontal comparisons rather than vertical comparisons made it a lot harder to compare values.
Take for example the new compare tool:
and compare ( ) it to a screenshot of the old compare tool I found:
In the bottom picture it is significantly easier to see differences between values because theyâre stacked vertically, close to eachother.
Whoever made the new comparison UI made a big mistake by switching this up.
What is easier? Comparing values horizontally?
1 2 334232 123 123151 123131 1 12
or comparing the values vertically?
1
2
334232
123
1231151
1231131
1
12
I do not know who made this massive mistake of doing comparisons horizontally, but I hope they revisit the compare window and fix this mess before they consider this change finished.
This change has massively degraded the usability of the compare window.
Edit: I just learned there is an option to switch between horizontal and vertical alignment:
This fixes my main issue with the new tool.
My only remaining suggestion would be to make horizontal the default option.
Welcome to CCPâs Photon UI design principleâŚ
Thanks, ill see if i can move the post
couldnt seem to move it, so created there and deleted the one above
lol, thatll treach me for rushing, thats about eve uni page
In my rush to post this in the correct forum thread i deleted here and posted elsehwhere, but i think that was the wrong thread, so trying to post back here (thatll teach me lol)
Oh my CCP, what have you done with the compare window, it used to be compact and useful, and now it is a spread out monstrosity which is difficult to make sense of when compared to the previous version, please roll back.
was the previous incarnartion of this screen an issue, were there multiple moans and calls for it to be changed? why can you just leave the s**t alone that isnt broken
PS Also why is the show attributes that differ option only on the even more horrible vertical alignment option
PPS - the columns do not match their option, type name is above meta groups, price is shown but its column is far left
PPPS - i have to keep the shift key held down to right click and remove a selection of things from compare, even though they are all highlights, if you dont keep shift down it will remove only 1
In more positive news the brighter yellow icon to show your route is much better than the faint insipid thing we used to have
My post was an ironic joke at how CCP has this very same principle since Photon UI was introduced: things take more space, less useful information displayed, less features and so on. People complain about this since the introduction of Photoh UI.
Though it is true probably would be better suited in the Photon UI section.
You can flag your post, choose other reason and explain you wish the thread to be moved to the appropriate section.
Indeed, i thought you were posting a thread where they were discussing new UI features, so rushed to move it, ive now read your thread properly haha, ironically, i posted the thread you linked too
No worries. In the end it got sorted out. Btw now that I think about it probably best to keep it here as it is part of this expansion.
You can switch, but its still crap lol
