Ok, 20+ years of EVE online makes it look like some people have no life. But, that is no reason why not to help newer players gain their fortune in a universe full of potential and opetunities
Assuming every pilot is in an active corporation of 23+ players (bonus if in an alliance with 10x that amount of players) here are some tips (and these tips don’t work if you are a solo pilot or part of a small mining corporation etc)
Let’s skip the end game stuff like ws, wsa, pets, refs and most (not all) ge’s and ger’s.
In order your corp goes from and to like so (assuming a month has 28 days):
Veldspar (1st billion)
Ice mining (1st 10 billion)
Refining (1st 30 billion)
Research (why do so many pilots skip this?)
Manufacturing (1st 70 billion)
Blueprint (c) sales (1st 100 billion)
Equippment for moon mining (WH)
Random level 4+ mission running in 0.0
Build any T3+ ships in 0.0
Deliver to highsec
So 20 pilot group can do that. Rince and repeat for 12 months. After all your costs, losses of mats and the occasional ws or wsa your final profit (assuming you lost 15% of your ships) would be 1.8 trillion ISK (devide that by 20 pilots).
Now you can continue doing the same stuff but you can start concentrating on ge’s and then you suddenly 10x that in 12 months.
OR
Just spend real money on plex and sell them so you get lots of ISK that does absolute zero for you in the long run, since the ISK won’t be working FOR you.
you already lost all credibility, by your attempt to shame people for playing the same video game you are, and enjoying it enough to continue playing. absolutely nothing else you type makes any difference now.
I can’t imagine how many years it would take to make a billion from Veldspar or ten billion from ice. Even mining 12 hours a day would take forever. That’s just a terrible way to spend your life.
He said 23+ players’ corp. So divide that 1b between them all. Numbers look much more credible that way. I guess it could be 1 player with 23 accounts as well.
And 100b from BPC sales? I don’t what they are smoking. Dangling that in front of ‘‘new players’’ is just laughable.
with 1 orca and 2 barges, it takes roughly 7 hours to mine 1 billion in ice, with variables including which type of ice in said belt you are mining. In highsec, 7 hours on a single belt is impossible, but it is possible in lowsec and null due to population and various protections surrouding solar systems with ice belts. To mine 10 billion in ice would take just over a week.
Veldspar, I know people have done it, but I could never bring myself to mine veldspar. So my experience in this is lacking.
Thrasher in fit cost 4-7M. Ok, some expensive cruiser in fit will cost 100-200M… which will be compensated if you are roaming with corporate members (and that is the place where you can bring cargo full of loot to buy something). BlackOps / T3 will cost more, but loot also is much better (if personal initiative which is not covered by corporation). If you like to fly capitals, then they are covered by alliances (join one).
If like mining belts and manufacturing, buy your first ship and enjoy digging, not much spendings afterwards.
I think that final goal is to enjoy what you are doing…
i mean, no. downtime happens every day. but ice belts are static. they move around in the system they’re in, but they always respawn in the same system.
Which is why I mine….Walletanium. Why spend hours doing a low paid job such as mining when one is playing a game, when one can have 1bn ISK for £10 or so. It saves grinding, and for PvP-ers it means you can just go straight out and shoot stuff. And because I don’t lose ships all that often, I haven’t had to buy PLEX since Sept 2024…..though in fact I have probably made more ISK selling the stuff I bought when it was more expensive, or moving stuff to where it sells for more.
