Instead of a gradual weakening, damage would surge spike and targets blown all at once like a series of circuit breakers. One moment they’re fine, the next they’re deep into structure with alarm klaxons wailing.
Traits :
Unlike entropic weapons, the damage bonus will start to flatline after the peak discharge, before repeating.
extreme damage to shields / armor
moderate damage to structure
Borrow from entropic weapons mechanic, increase damage bonus with every target hit.
But the damage bonus is not applied until a certain threshold is reached.
Once threshold is reached, all bonus damage is applied at once across the entire target set.
Some bonus is retained for aftershock / return strikes.
Oh yes, EVE needs a ship with inconsistent damage output, because we all know the artificial lightning generated under identical conditions each time its generated in a universe whose physics do not resemble real life physics in the slightest MUST work identically to real life natural thunderstorms working under erratic conditions. We want the shittery of real life “just because” even though it doesn’t address a need or enhance the game, but it sure does make the game worse.
Mmmmmmm high alpha to a cluster of ships followed by uselessness. From the creator of the Pokémon ship evolution proposal comes yet another shithead idea…
Please do not give Flashrain any ideas on how to be more dumb or less dumb. If you advise her to be less dumb, she will be more dumb by accident. She has already suggested implementing “Wild Magic” for Vorton Weapons", and has an extensive history of proposing the stupidest ■■■■■■■ ■■■■ imaginable both via new topics and responding to other topics with “here is an asinine idea I’d like to contribute”.
