If you guys have multiple floors, you should have meeting room names based by floor. 1st floor could be ship classes, 2nd floor constellations and so on.
I think “BLACKROOM” it’s a good way for remember the “hell” this choice have for this year! black-out was the best event of this year (for the moment)so Blackroom is a good way isn’t it?
As much fun for Russian community it would be to see you guys having rooms named ‘Kheram’ and ‘Otsasai’ (just ask CCP Aplha), I still think it is much more thematically appropriate to name rooms after specific ship hulls. Maybe even make a split, get a different race each floor or smth.
I think the regions, because how cool it sounds, “Today we will discuss develop eve online in the forge”
)
Ship names, oracle, ares, devoter… - if you cannot abide meety mcmeetface how about shippy mcshipface? (watch the pronunciation) Boaty mcboatface was a popular classic amongst the UK general public!
Vale of the Silent, what better name for a meeting room!! Anyway, the region names have always inspired me to explore EVE. “Here be dragons” or “Abandon all hope, ye who enter here” are what they seem to say to me at times. Certainly when I was wormholing and venturing out of the hole it was always stirring to find the region I was in and what “terrors in the night” i would face
I’d like to see racial family names rotated in… This would also allow for a fair amount of creativity within established norms and can even broaden known hereditary lore.
Shall we go to Siege?
lets meet up and Siege?
I propose siege, triage and Industrial core.
I reckon Constellation names as there are some awesome and rarely-heard names. Constellations need some love, they’re not used by a whole lot and this might help.
Plus, ship class names would be quite bland, whilst region names would be to high level (plus, it wouldn’t be fair on some CSM members to meet in Delve, for example )
boaty mc ccp face
We need a CCP meeting room named after Stain. Or The Spire.
Gila
the room with the all the Gila Drinks^^
I actually like this more than my own suggestion. Well played.
Ship classes, if only to be able to butcher the way “Gila” is pronounced while on the clock
Name it Fountainhead Phoenix.
I agree with Garion about location names being suitable for rooms, but for the reason that a lot of the iconic moments in EVE have happened in systems like B-R5RB, which are the kind of names that will not be used, I voted for regions.
I’ll likely vote for the Genesis region, as that’s been the home of my character for several years before moving to Anoikis. It contains the Sanctum constellation, where most of the systems are located where my character does Search and Rescue patrols.
The Veldspar Lounge is a Must
I choose ship class names because it immerses you more into the game than say constellation names or other names that make you more of an observer.
I choose Ship Class names because of the probability that most pilots would be more attached to their ship, than a solar system or region. A pilot’s ship should be their baby, they look after it and it will (hopefully) look after them.
I personally fly my Arbitrator, W2rfall (pronounced Waterfall). As soon as I set eyes on the Arbitrator’s sleek curved lines, I wanted it. I saved up half a year and bought it. It’s looked after me through countless battles and it will for many more…
It was a toss up between ship names and region names, i have met many people in eve and one thing that is guaranteed to generate an argument is ship name pronunciation, and it was back in 2006/7 following such an argument about ship names (i seem to recall it was the Charon - He taught me it was pronounced with a hard C instead of the way i was saying it ‘Sharon’) where the foundations were laid for a friendship that has lasted 13+ years.
With our newly trained interceptor and T2 gunnery skills we broke away from our mining corp that effectively used us as low paid slaves and formed a corporation that was now focused on the protection of asteroids from miners, it was ironic that our first kill was a mining dominix, i still remember that kill like it was yesterday, the joy of finding a victim, the activation of a warp disruptor for the first time, the shakes, and the elation of getting our first kill, we pvped for years and years with countless more stories, was awesome and he is my best friend.
