It’s not CCP’s fault that you are unable to fight a wardec. You have options like staying NPC and using that toon to run missions with your friends. You and your friends could have made PVP toons created a corp just to mess about in frigates and learn PVP using the earnings from your NPC toon.
Re-sub, get your buddies to go NPC with you. Don’t quit as you are going to miss out on some epic game play.
It looks like I should do that venture I was talking about as it would get people to have a different perspective. I really can’t tell you enough that Eve really can be one of those edge of your seat type games if you can go with the flow. I’ve had some of the best gaming experiences of my life right here on Eve.
Been gone since 2012, and I’m seeing the same whiney carebear excuses.
You’ve had hisec nerfed quite enough, thanks. Enjoy what you have, because if you can complain at this level of foam sword waving, you would have shat yourself in a hisec player corp just 5 years ago, when it was plenty safe enough.
Hey CCP, for April 1st, can we go back to the old Hisec mechanics… just for a week? Maybe that will shut these kids up.
The CSM are requesting that EVE change. Given that the CSM are supposed to be the voice of the players, if there is disagreement in the direction the CSM is going perhaps more interaction with the CSM is in order to voice a dissenting opinion.
EVE is not what it once was and much of the voice calling for change comes from those who believe the current meta is driving players away. There is not shortage of players who ‘used’ to play eve and the last CSM summit notes rightly highlight that rather than expend development resources on trying to improve the ‘new player experience’ it is equally important, if not more so, to spend development time on changes that could encourage players who no longer play to return to the game.
I agree with OP … today mechanics make it harder to build a new corps from the ground up because any corps can wardec them and destroy their dream for the future.
Maybe adding timed imunity for the new corps will work … Example, new corps cannot be legally wardecs for their first 1 year, etc.
The time that was reasonable enough for them to prepare for any incoming wardecs in the future. So we can see new corps building in eve and fight equally in terms of war.
Still if invention is not an extreme example but looking at the local chat window is, I suggest you have your priorities confused in an attempt to make this well known PvP game have some king of hermits paradise pve mode.
So every year minus one week, I transfer my POCOs and structures to a new corp and they can never be killed or attacked by anyone?
Sorry, but it would have to have more than just a time limit. The moment a corp puts up or takes ownership of a structure, then they must become deccable. Otherwise you setup a system that can be abused heavily.
Why should I watch local in High Sec, I’m in NPC Corp and don’t need to watch out for War Dec enemies. Also there are numerous systems in-game that are devoid of players for weeks on end.
FYI - I never said Eve Online wasn’t a PvP game. For a generalized description Eve Online is indeed a PvP game but when you look at each specific activity in game, some of those could feasibly bypass PvP involvement, thus making it PvE.
Mate I instantly knew DMC was back a little while ago when pretty much every post i’d ever made got liked at once. I wonder if his like farming will be as major as it was in the last iteration of the forums.
