Hello people of EVE! I am CCP Diegetic, Narrative Designer at CCP.
As some of you may know, two battles took place in Tabbetzur on the 6th and 7th of March following the Drifter’s interference with that system. During these battles, items were dropped called Warden Connection Harmonics. These items were revealed to grant factions an advantage in an upcoming competition to enter Drifter wormhole systems. Capsuleers lucky enough to grab them just had to fulfill buy orders from their associated corporations. Simple, right?
Turns out no. We failed to account for capsuleers’ ability to block buy orders with their own buy orders. While I must applaud their ingenuity, the technique is somewhat overpowered and has entirely blocked sales in many regions. This was an oversight on our part, and so we shall be rectifying it.
Tomorrow we hope to release a simple fix: LP store options. Visit an LP store in a station from the same corporations listing buy orders. There, you can turn your Harmonics in and they will be counted for your preferred faction. In exchange, you will receive a Gratuity for Warden Connection Harmonics item you can sell to the market for the same value as the Warden Connection Harmonics themselves.
Huge thanks to everyone who turned up in Tabbetzur, or desperately fought over the Harmonics after the fact (whether with your turrets or your wallets). I look forward to sharing the rest of what we have cooking for you in the days, weeks, and months to come.

Thank you for the quick fix! Will the items already sold to NPC buy orders be credited correctly?
Not OP but yes, any Harmonics that have already been turned in via buy orders will still be counted towards that faction’s progress.

Those gratuity items seem like very good collectors items. Is there any chance those who’ve already turned in the harmonics to NPC sell orders could get the items 1:1 in exchange for the isk the NPC factions paid?

It would appear that the exploration option for the Drifter: Race for the Hives event is not static. Meaning that upon completion it can be replaced with something else. Preventing non-combat players from progressing the reward track. There should always be a static task for every type of role.
Sorry for the slow response. After some internal discussion, we will try to do this after the deadline for the Harmonics has passed and the market orders are removed. Fingers crossed this should be possible.
Asking another question here, because I couldn’t find your name on the Eve Discord.
There is right now a method where people can gain insane amounts of reward track points by remote repping and damaging Drifter NPCs. I made this quick illustration of the problem:
A single Leshak with 2.5k DPS with enough Nestor support can complete the 2000 point rewards in one hour. Then it can still continue to farm points for it’s faction.
This means you need another metric than reward track points gained during the event to figure out which empires perform the best and get their Drifter Wormhole station or whatever the reward is
Also it seems that DPS in the main way to get points in the event. For logistic pilots it’s really hard. This leads to people just going into the sites, shooting drifters without running the site towards completion. I can go into the lancer site with only DPS ships to shoot at Drifters to gain the reward. Or I go there with 5 Logi and need to complete 20 sites to gain the same amount of reward, because drone damage is really low and Stirring NPCs eat drones alive.
