What currently is a PoS useful for in 2022? Is r&d or industry better in a station vs. PoS structures?

Moon digging citadel does only that: Moon Digging … (who would want that at all?)
With citadels you pay (fuel) for every service you use and you pay an extra fee for onlining a service!

With the POS, once the tower is fueled, you can online as many labs or arrays as your powergrid allows - without extra-fees for nothing.

Is a POS useful, yes, you can still do many things as most of the structures still work but have no “bonuses” that player stations have.

At this point ONLY those who don’t mind the expense of 100 million+ in fuel cost (for a small POS), monthly as a small POS uses about 6976+ fuel blocks in a month (29 days).

  • So why use a POS, some systems don’t have stations.

  • Consolidation, not all stations offer industry and researching and that could mean several jumps to do jobs.

  • The freedom to live on your own terms most anywhere.

Hopefully CCP will never remove the POS and all that it still offers small individual indies and small Corps.
