With what you have written there, there is no way you are a neutral party.
I used to mine somewhere around 2009, it wasn’t the profession of choice but it was convenient as I had some study to do at that time. Mining in this game is easy to do semi-afk, sit at the computer and read.
I used to get asked on several occasions if I was a bot, which made me realise a lot of people don’t even know a bot if they saw one.
Mining in this game is really dull, even mined a bit not semi-afk, it’s just a waiting game really, really dull. When CCP designed mining in this game I think they thought the players where bots, that’s how bad it is.
Used to manufacture on this character, purchased all the materials never mined any of them.
You say miners are bad, it’s not miners that are all bad, it’s the mining mechanics that’s crap.
As for bots although I’ve not been a miner for many years (even in the past mainly during study sessions) I also detest them, in fact I dislike cheating of any kind.

This is a logical fallacy, the fact that I despise miners, and am disgusted by miners, does not mean that I am not neutral. Imagine if you will, the criminal brought before the court of Halaima. As a member of the jury, I was selected precisely because of my neutrality. As a new player, I had no opinion or fore-knowledge of the miners, and I assessed them with a new gaze and an objective neutral perspective. The fact that I am disgusted with them now, is simply because after hearing all the evidence, I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that they are guilty - they are guilty of the crimes they are accused of, and almost certainly guilty of even more grievous acts. My disgust stems not from any personal bias, but from a purely logical understanding of their crime.

Just look at the speaker of the Houses of Parliament, he was supposed to be neutral, after he left it turns out he was a remainer. No surprise there.
I’ve been on juries I’ve seen them in action first hand. If you believe what you said there is no way you could be neutral. Although maybe you would just charge them 10 mill,

As we all know, Tritanium, Pyerite, Mexallon and all other kinds of minerals are harvested from trees! The whole post makes me feel like you despise the miners for feeding you all the catalyst, guns and void s that you use to gank. Yeah, sure, totally makes sense.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m ok with suicide ganking, absent minded ones get what they deserve, afk itself means you take the risk of being ganked. But using afk to justify your action? I laughed so hard when I went to minerbumping.com and read all the rants of James the savior.
Allow me to cite some fraction of your beloved savior:

Ok, let me replace the word “miner” into “mission runners”, “incursion runners”, “ppl with bigger ships”. See the problem? Every carebear in this game are all, to some extent, senselessly accumulating piles of isk. So why haven’t CODE declare war on all carebears and gank every last of them?! I’ve been sitting here senselessly accumulating piles of isk (from emerging conduits) since last month, but seems like no one bothers to declare I’m guilty. The truth is, your dear james doesn’t want to admit he doesn’t have the nerve to challenge anyone other than defenseless, poorly protected miners.
I’ll put it straight, CODE is just too coward to gank anything that has the ability to fight back, or anything that is bigger than a mining barge. And no matter how you crown yourselves as “Savior” or “Knights”, in the end, you’re just another criminal, maybe a joke when you fail to gank a venture bait, like last night ROTFL.

I despise bots, and anyone who attacks defenseless lone venture’s who are just starting out in the game as a miner. I agree with the above statement, i’m a isk hoarder, and mission running just allows me to compile isk, spend the little i need to get more ammo, rinse and repeat. but i hoard isk, so i am able to fund other people like @Mike_Azariah who do their part to help the newbs as well.

I don’t need to concern about CODE anymore since I moved away from miner industry, just feel really bad for my fellow corpmates. You know what? They are not bot, they have fxxking dreams! They become a miner to save up isk, so they explore other parts of EVE one day, like explorer, hauler, high-end PVE, or move into nullsec with bigger ships. But after they saved just enough to upgrade their ship, CODE show up and blow their hard earned ship into fireworks, and they either quit the game, or they return to a venture and start over!
Anyway, thumbs up for keep stimulating the economy, we do need someone blow things up regularly. But think about my word, if you feel no guilty when killing someone’s dream right in the cradle…it just proves you’re someone with no empathy. It’s a game after all, empathy is not required to play it lol.

Empathy is exactly why we kill them. They are trapped in an endless cycle of grinding ISK so they can buy those PLEX to finance another month of the same torture. They don’t find their way out without help.
A round of antimatter is like a good wake-up call to free the miner out of his self imposed prison.
Getting rid of your mining addiction is a 12 point plan and it starts with accepting James 315 as your personal saviour. Only the Supreme Protector and the Code can help you.

Apparently you didn’t read my comment thoroughly. Like I said, not all miners are senseless bots, they grind isk to buy a praxis so they can go kill sansha/poor triglavian rats, or a good astero to jump into wormholes for the riches. They’re humans, and they have aspirations. Even IF they are afk mining, are you sure they’re not enjoying the process? Maybe they’re just chatting happily on the corp chat, with some other afk miners XD
Open your eyes and accept the truth that miners choose their own way. You’re free to gank them, the game allows and encourages it, but criticizing afk isn’t going to make you stand on a high ground to justify your action.

They all aspire to become as bot-like as possible without risking a ban. If bots where legal they would totally use one.
Maybe long ago they where human, but not anymore. They are often just an empty husk, without any dreams or aspirations other than more ISK.
I’m 100% sure they don’t enjoy the process. That is why they are always so angry. Every time I interact with a miner and blow up their ship they are in a bad mood. Coincidence? I think not, I killed thousands of miners and almost all of them where some grumpy bad sports. I think they actually hate themselves for mining, they know that people look down on them for their addiction.
They can totally do that in Lowsec or some wormhole, but in New Order territory (formerly known as highsec) the Code IS the way.
I don’t really need your permission for that.
The game mechanics are completely stacked against it, I wouldn’t call that “encourages it”
We naturally have the moral high ground, it’s not just about a single criticism.
