Too bad you took what I wrote and pictured it wrong.
I like the mining changes (restricting mineral availability based on security status). While it doesn’t make sense from a realism perspective, it’s good for the game. People who want to play it safe and just semi-AFK mine in HiSec rightfully make little money. People who are more daring and actively at the keyboard and risk assets by mining in LowSec are rightfully making bank ATM. Personally I would like to see asteroid belts completely removed, and instead replaced with dynamic spawning ore anoms (with on-grid effects that damage ships, affect their systems, etc).
I think, and maybe this is already the case and I’m not aware of it, that certain industrial activities should get bonuses based on security status as well. For example, T1 production in HiSec, reactions in LowSec, etc. You can still do industry wherever you want, but will cut yourself short on efficiency/profit by doing it in unbonused Sec.
I want to be able to multy-box Omega and Alpha. With six toons each on the field we could all have giant war and crash servers
Back when Eve had that Citadel trailer, I thought about our dreams. ‘Build your dreams, wreck their dreams’ was a pretty cool marketing slogan but it also had me thinking about their current game design with some ideas of my own.
What if we could remove the cap for individual characters like PI for example - if you own or have been granted access to the POCO, then you should be able to manage as many colonies as you like there would have to be some sort of careful and right balance of course. But to me, that seems like it would make great sense to have because it would give people a reason to want to own their own POCO’s and fight for other ones and whatnot. What if industry was the same way? Your slots were tied to how many shipyards you can build. I would LOVE it if you could see the ships being constructed and you could literally gauge what systems might be worth attacking or something because of this.
I think it would be cool to show city lights on planets that have active PI going on.
I picture a nullsec bloc’s capital system looking like a space New York City.
I miss having a Captain’s Quarters. It was never going to be more than it was though.
My ideas are terrible.
No, Captains quarters could have (should have) been much more than eye candy
CCP over promised and underdelivered
i would love to see a comeback of drugs being illegal again so i can feel like a real smuggler
captain quarters would be nice too but it would need much more than one cheap room!
would be cool if we could meet other players on all the diffrent space stations, maybe with some kind of cantina were we can trade from face to face, do some kind of mini games (space strip poker?) have some windows or screens inside that cantina were we can look outside and see the playerships etc flying around etc, or combine that feature with some quests idk (just a few ideas)
I would like it if we could save T1 Frigate FFA Proving Filaments to our fittings - so when we buy another ship we can just roll out again faster!
If they can bio-engineer a catgirl for me, sign me the ■■■■ up.
That’s actually something the Gallente can technically do.
Is it possible to make the formalities that when I’ll pass away IRL , to donate my corpse to the drifters ?
I`d like a CREW. 5 members - they EACH have a limited skill tree that you choose in the same way as your main ALTS. You can put CREW BOOSTERS in the CREW - ALL ships can have a crew of some size - Larger ships = larger crew. You train CREW like you train your main player.
Perhaps the crew has PERMA DEATH - or the crew has say 3 or 5 clones each to use up before they are PERMA DEAD and you loose the SKILLS they had and have to recruit a new CREW member.
This would get all the players who have maxed out their key skills to get involved in skill training again. And give ships an added set of attributes to think about.
Visually your CREW could be designed similar to how you design ALTS. This will make it feel like your custom crew and therefore you feel extra pain when you loose/kill a crew permanently - just now we just loose ISK assets when we die - this way we loose the crews small additional skill tree. You would value crew as much as an expensive ship but manage the crew in a different way.
Hey - you could get a moral boost to crew when you have the EXOTIC DANCERS cargo on board. 8) Ignore that part.
An entire new region would be cool. Imagine if there suddenly was a new region of sov space up for grabs. I imagine people would be stomping on each other to control it.
Maybe we could call that new region Pochven or something.
Pochven is the internet spaceship equivalent of Detroit
Isnt that STO?
I’ve been out of Eve for a hell of a long time. My last kill mail was Aug 2015 and have done very short stints of Incursions since. I got the email about “hey get 1.6m SP” and thought I would pop in and see whats new with Eve (I do from time to time) and see if the game is worth coming back to, is there anything exciting happening.
Checking my assets, there is 20b in isk and 11,000 Plex sitting in my trading character, with my main having loads of ships, and thought “well, I can afford to play without the grind of earning isk so is it worth doing?”.
I stumbled on this thread and found that the issues that made me log out the last time are still there. The number of protections for highsec players is insane.
The fundamental issue for me however is that Eve is a HUGE time sink. And when we, as a group of friends who all played eve together and some met in game, talk about the old days the one thing that keeps coming up is how much time is wasted.
My first PvP was with a small gang pirate corp, we migrated to nullsec (Curse) to do more small gang PvP. The problem was the hours and hours spent just to get 1 fight in a night as we dodged blobs. So much time was spent doing logistics, planning roams and waiting for people to show up. Only to find no one used the 2 weeks notice to get the ships they needed or even took us up on the offers to get them ships. We would finally get out on the roam an hour after it was planned, and then have to avoid so many massive fleets that were out and about.
I had hoped a long time ago that FW would be the answer to this, where you as a solo pilot could go out and do some PvP with people who wanted to do something similar. Or even go out with smaller groups of 2 or 3. It was dead, no one was out there and it was an utter shame.
FW to me held so much promise, logistics is easy as you are next to HighSec. You can go and fight alone so dont have to waste time waiting for 5-10 people to go and get the ship they were supposed to have 2 weeks ago.
Something I think that would make FW really good is to have the deadspace locked to a number of ships of a set size. So you go in as Amarr and only say 2 frigs can go through. Minmatar can only get 2 frigs in as well. Now you cant blob the ■■■■ out of it, yeah they can all sit on the gate and trickle in. But if the 2 of you can hold that line and they keep sending ships, whose having the most fun there?
RvB was the closest to getting this fun I ever found, the off putting thing for me with RvB is that everyone was so anti T2/Faction ships and would blob you if were in anything more than a T1 frig.
Delve, Catch and Querious, I thought. (for the stomping, that is)
