What do you feel is a simple change that could increase our playbase?

I keep trying to find a reason to log in again. But i can’t run NPC nullsec missions the way I used to (mineral distribution changes), I can’t lurk around lowsec like I used to (mobile observatories), I can’t solo gank in highsec like I used to (barge ehp buff), I can’t even do my most outrageous dream of stocking the market in Thera because Pochven made Thera redundant and the market fee changes made it impossible anyway. I guess I could grind Pochven standings, but that makes me want to barf. Abyssals seem like an entirely different game than Eve. I could try doing these bank heists in null, that seems like emergent gameplay… Maybe I am still just too burned out. Maybe I lost faith in the game when CCP chose to raise the price of the game right at the time when they were killing their playerbase. Dunno.

Im sure a krab will be along shortly to mock you for having once enjoyed a game they have helped progressively destroy.

They cant even let us die with dignity.

Maybe DefiNatalie Armost Lucas will stop by and tell me good riddance, and that I was bad for the game anyway. We all know that highsec mining and nullsec industry are the only virtuous things to do in Eve.

There’s a new batch over in the other “recent changes” threads.

I dont think I want the tedium of New Industry or the threatless tedium of anything else they are looking forward to.

I dont understand not wanting freedom in the freest game world ever. And it going is making me sad.

I guess Ill keep hauling all my stuff into a big pile while I decide whether to burn it or leave it all to a noob.

If such a thing exists anymore.

I hit that point a yr ago.

Thats what I’ve been doing. I’m going to keep my stuff for another 2 yrs simply because I retire in 4.

Chk your inventory. Some prices have skyrocketed. I’m selling off the rest of my ore before prices plunge.

Edit; Oh, and make sure it’s containerized so if CCP decides to nuke the sys you have your stash, you can move it quickly.

There’s been a lot of talk about an ore market crash but I don’t really see it happening that dramatically. Production will rise to compensate. Common ore prices will fall (supply goes up), rare ore prices will rise (demand goes up), and the cost of industry that use both will probably stabilize without issue.

I’m thinking a yr from now. Just have to wait and see.

Its all containerised already. I generally dont check the prices much as for the most part I store the expensive stuff in orcas in space in case Poochie expands.

Pochven cannot expand. That is legacy code. Nobody at CCP knows how to work with it. They would have to invent a whole new in-game race if they wanted to do something like that again.

CCP destroys the game with " its all about pvp"
most player just want pve

I think these changes hit the right spots already. They make PvP and ganking a lot more fair and gamers like it when mechanics are fair for all.
Thanks to these changes EVE is going to keep more players and get lots of new ones.

That sounds like me hahah
I did a bit of everything, the only thing I didn’t do is flying barges, except for pvp ventures.
The people I used to fly with mostly left EVE, they are gone gone.

Nowdays I don’t have the stamina to go meet new people, just like people who married 3-4 times along their lives who give up meeting new people

I feel that like a lazyness, the other day I had to fly 5 jumps and it wasn’t good, going there and comming back took me 20 minutes and it didn’t feel it was worth my time

I’m not sure, but possibly my next EVE break this month will be my last EVE break

I hope you find a game that gets you going.
And I suppose it’s too much to ask to think of me when you get rid of your stuff… sigh

I would rather sleep with all my assets for years than give it away

In the past I already gave away
When I got back I got 4.3 bil ISK in donations and rebuilt from that

If I ever get back I don’t want to go through the same

You’ll be back

I’m not sure the old players will be back this time. This time feels different.

That’s up to them but I have a feeling they’ll hang around if only to try a thing or two or be there when/if EVE goes under. After years and years of playing and caring I doubt many will be able to just up and leave.

It feels different maybe because it seems that CCP got the hint and are now willing to try anything to get bodies in front of screens, including handing some player satisfaction, fun ( new FW ) and unpopular decisions that are good for the game.

Has it been established that the new FW will be fun?

It hasn’t been established but I think it will be fun.
