The old forum layout (a matter of personal taste) instead of the current waste of screen surface (how many single line posts can you currently fit per screen, not to mention more than 50% unused space left and right unless logged in ?). Personalized signatures were cool too and usually very informative.

This thread might help, I use those scripts and they make browsing these forums much more enjoyable.
