What Does Security Have to Do with Docking Access?

Someone pmed me and was like “hey do you know X? (his CEO)” and I said no. He then said he was going through an access list of some of their low sec structures and found I had docking, but he didn’t know why. Most of them were his corp’s blues or friends of the officers, but there were corps and characters he didn’t recognize.

I scratched my head and was like “I kind remember that back in Placid. I don’t use it anymore.” Then he said the docking list contained my old corp and anyone who was there from August 2020 to late 2021. He mentioned he wanted to clean up the list, but could not remove anyone added by the CEO who didn’t shoot their corp in HS, so he wanted to at least make notes of every entry he didn’t recognize. I was like “You mean anyone who shoots you guys at all?” and he said “Nope, just HS. Only the CEO can remove people he added unless they shoot us in HS and he’s taking a break, the directors can’t do anything”

So if I shoot anyone in HS without something like a limited engagement timer, I lose security status, that part is understandable. I don’t understand what any of this has to do with docking access. If he can remove people at all, why doesn’t he just do it?

Because shooting them in high sec means you likely ganked them, if they are in low/null they are valid targets by choice

Because stupid highsec corp policies. I can basically guarantee he’s physically able to do it but not supposed to as per the CEO.
