I’d love to see CCP startup with the redesigns again. I think Caldari is done, so might as well work on Minmatar next.

Just make sure not to touch the beautiful Imicus that has universal praise and a vocal minority praise it even more though they often disguise it as critique because they are too shy to admit they can’t resist its aesthetics.

You can say what you want about the Imicus, you can like it or detest it, but it’s a unique and recognisable shape befitting a gallente utility frigate.
If CCP is to redesign more ships, I think it’s better if they start with the ships that aren’t easily recognisable by their shape.
Of the four Titans the Avatar is most easily recognisable due to it’s unique design. The Gallente Erebus is perhaps second. The other two, I couldn’t even draw them from memory.
A Ragnarok redesign could be nice!

The Imicus is in more dire need of a redesign than any other Gallente ship. So yes, definitely touch it with a 10-foot pole.
But start with Minmatar…

The only thing that beautiful lambda of a ship needs is a texture update!

Can’t talk about the Imicus, but for the Prophecy/Damnation it definitely is the belly and the ass. For Bob’s sake they look more like fat chickens than war birds. Just let them do a bit of cardio workout in a redesign and I am the happiest customer.

This is what the Imicus redesign was going to look like (back in 2019). Guess that whole “redesign” thing got shelved…
Maybe they realized the current design is far superior, popular and beautiful than that proposed new one.

More likely they just shelved the whole re-design project. There were new Triglavian and Edencom ships, as well as a lot of work on ship SKINs.
Sounds like wishful thinking. 
Hey, at least we’re getting a continual batch of new ships. Imagine if we had to wait as long as Elite Dangerous…

I’m glad that redesign never happened. It looks like an armoured pickle with a small appendix on one side. It looks rather unbalanced too.
The Imicus isn’t a bulky armoured ship, it’s a utility exploration ship. A bulky frame like that wouldn’t fit it.
And even though the current Imicus isn’t symmetrical, the current hull looks much more balanced and stable than that redesign, as if it could stand on my desk if I were to 3D print it. I like that about the current hull.
I would rather see CCP give the Imicus a texture update and leave the current design alone.
