What I experienced on proving ground event(continuing)

The locator agents have a delay before they give up the location of the person - they are not immediate.

How long are these wait times??

I cant remember, if I undock and stay undocked for a while, will the locator say only what station I last docked at?

I believe they just say you are in space or something like that.

If so thats so easy to avoid its like a non-issue

I am sure it sucks to continually have to re-ship after these tournaments are over, but the cries of “exploit” must be answered by somebody. Most of the “shut up you highsec trash” type forum posters are no longer with us.

Cooldown is long. but, once use it, it is enough.
Because queue is at least waiting 5 minutes enough time to go them and make timer.
And, after use one locator go another locator :stuck_out_tongue:
Finally if they have no choice but to supply, so that have to go market hub or use alt to buy something.
At that time, they must have some waiting time.(enough time to use locator)
It seems that easily solve this problem just go null sec, and use alliance market, but can you ensure they do not follow?
In my sight, you just justify the act of them.

How is this a weakspot?

Alphas made this a very low-risk option

If they go more and more suburban to avoid this, their waiting time for support alt will longer.
It means that make time to find them :stuck_out_tongue:
Besides, even if they success to get support, but they will be discovered by locator during doing a abyssal pvp arena

FIlaments are tiny. You can have buckets of them in an interceptor. Or even a shuttle

Wait, find who the alt or the main?

They still wont find the main, the locator agent wont havean accurate position because he doesnt have to dock.

How about ship or modules?
It is cruiser 2v2, so at least use BR to fast support.
Find main. there is inevitable time to stop(like while use filament)
Besides, Do you think it is normal they have to running away to participate in event?
I thought the player log off timer’s object is just prevent someone from running away while do a some contents.
Does CCP really intended to that?
If does, then I have nothing to say :stuck_out_tongue:

Am I understanding the problem correctly:

  1. These guys know your time zone, so they know when you are online.
  2. They locate the system you are in.
  3. They scan you down.
  4. They use a throwaway alt in a corvette to start an engagement with you, which cancels your filament (I assume?)

Five minutes is a long time. Given the situation, I would probably make it a priority to find a K-Space to K-Space wormhole somewhere. These things aren’t that common, but if you get on one of the explorer channels, they might be willing to help you. You get all your ships set up on one side of the wormhole, then jump through to activate the filament. My guess is that this will substantially interfere with these guys.

Or, you could fly to someplace like Solitude - the market is a bit thin out there, but they might have what you need. This would force your opponents to fly all the way out there to get at you, which is a huge hassle. I’m not sure how committed they are.

My guess is that these guys will give up as soon as you start making it difficult for them. Put a jump clone in all of the major hubs. Get yourself set up for the day with an alt. Log in, set your medical clone to your current location, then use a jump clone to go someplace far away. Fly a few jumps out, then activate your filament. After you are done, jump a few systems in a different direction and activate your next filament. If you lose your pod, make sure you end up on the other side of the universe (back to where you started the day) - which will be of benefit to you.

The locator agents will tell you what system your target is in - they just can’t say what station. Wormhole space gives a “does not compute” answer, but I am trying to be semi-helpful, so I won’t tell him that staging out of Drifter Wormholes would solve all his problems :man_shrugging:

Why would they not have a stockpile at their preferred site?

In a POS, WH Structure or other?

Yes.

I think running away from a Hub is a sensible thing to do for any activity other than hub-related violence.

I dont see why in a game like EvE the idea of piercing the rivals tyres or crippling their lead engineer before an F1 race dhould be impossible to do.

Yesterday, I running Jita -> Amarr(Clone) -> Dodixie(Home station) -> Jita(aggro and run with interceptor) -> Dodixie(Home station).
They follow me continuous! That was really fun.
I felt that really playing eve
And of course, do not use filament at market hub

Try “do not use main” at market hub.

Might work better for ya

Of course do not use main at market hub
Use alt to supply, but they finally find out me
I thought I was playing racing game

Id be fascinated to know how they did that

He keeps entering the arena using the same system.

Yeap. I also want to know.
It was really thrill and fun experience

@Frigate_Gun is this true?
