Nope. When I move with clone, move to other space, and use filament.
BUT, after proving ground finished once, they are in local.
At least, I can play a 2 times when I move with clone, or school station and move somewhere
In the system you are using the filament in (which is not a hub, correct?) are either your main or alt docking at any stage before you enter the event?
My alt on market hub, and I am not on hub.
I think they also remember my alt’s name.
But the only alt I can use is one. Whenever I supply it, I have to move carefully not to meet them .
AND, How do you ensure my location? you follow me?
Yeah, but are you docking at a station with either character before using it?
Presumably its on your KB
I docked after moved somewhere other place.
And, It isn’t possible presume I’m on same place by killboard.
Because, only abyssal killmail went to killboard, can’t guess i’m on same place
Well if they were in local when you come out, its not going to be hard for them to follow you.
Unfortunately, the chain of events isnt clear enough to explain how to avoid it.
But I do know its not hard to avoid.
Yeap.
In the result, The fault of me
I had to think about all likelihood, but I didn’t. that’s my fault.
I didn’t know this would happen. I realize again ‘this is eve’
a dont be so hard on yourself
you are doing pvp
spending your isk doing pew pew
not much people can say the same
keep the good work
The real question here is
When locating a character who is currently in abyssal space, does the agent return the system that the character used the filament?
If so then this is the mechanic I would request CCP has to change.
It should NOT report a system the character is NOT in.
If I am in a wormhole, an agend does NOT report the system where I entered. Abyssal should be no different.
That GM must be new or possibly didn’t understand. Since those players are following you to other systems in-game then that is indeed harassment.
You should have escalated the ticket to a Senior GM.
You get the same error message as trying to locate someone in a wormhole when you try and locate someone who is in abyssal space or the abyssal PVP arena.
Why not make it so that an active pvp timer does not prevent filament activation? That used to be an issue with the old arenas too, when using burst jammer ikis
Why doesn’t the filament just make your ship disappear while you wait?
This is one of those not unheard of cases where indeed CCP should just code their game better to do what they want. If they really want people to be free of player interaction, they should code a waiting room or something you immediately pop into. You still can’t let people with combat timers hide in them to avoid open-world fights, but it would reduce the window of opportunity such that you should be able to warp to a safe and jump in the ‘safe’ pocket and wait for your queue to pop.
But of course, should they do that? Probably not. Emergent gameplay and all that. The whole thing needs a bit of an iteration (and had wrapped up now) so I guess we should see what form, if any, they will continue in.
They are saying the wait time is 5 minutes. That is a long time to just sit still in space.
Yeah, I agree. So if CCP didn’t want that they should code it so there is a waiting room pocket. But they didn’t, probably because they didn’t think of it or it is more work, but if they have a problem with this they should just change how it works now.
The thing is that everything CCP have said and was linked here says they are totally cool with this emergent gameplay. So, it’s even hard to say if this is a problem or intended or untended but fine.
As I said, the first nine are now over so we shall see if and how CCP iterates on this.
You are wrong.
They are clearly doing abyssal pvp. They have a clear reason and goal in mind when attacking Frigate Gun and it isn’t harassment
If you guys don’t like elite high-sec pvp (where all real pvp happens) you can go back to null-sec
@Frigate_Gun just accept your place at the bottom of the food-chain and let real pvper’s like @Gorski_Car and @your_duderness pvp in peace without you needing to come to cry in these forums, and wasting CCP’s time by reporting anyone who happens to shoot you
OK forum alt, I really don’t care what you say. This is about regular space, not Abyssal space.
If those players are constantly following him around and attacking him in regular space, then that is indeed harassment and he should escalate the ticket to a Senior GM.
