What if FW plexes worked like ESS robberies?

What do we think of adding a warp disruption field to FW plexes, same as the one surrounding ESS banks in nullsec, running out to 50-60KM from the capture point, disappearing when the plex is captured? I heard this idea in a YouTube video a couple weeks ago and it’s stuck with me. I haven’t made up my mind if I’m for it or against it myself.

It would certainly make life harder on bots and people who just farm non-stop and don’t really participate in FW except to farm the LP. It would make you commit to capturing the plex (or at least commit to putting an oversized AB on your ship), because you wouldn’t be able to just warp out the instant someone appears at 0.1AU on DScan.

It would hopefully cut down on the aggravating little nanoed navy frigates that swoop into the plex at 5,500m/s to pound on noobs flying their first Merlin. Maybe allow MWDs to work as normal in Large/Open plexes, because larger ships don’t benefit from afterburners nearly as much as frigs and destroyers.

It would put the plexer/hunter dynamic out of balance in favor of the hunter. I can’t decide if that’s good or bad tbh. I guess it depends on whether you consider it good or bad that people can spam DScan and warp out the moment someone lands on the gate outside.

So what do we think?

It’s in no way needed and would be over all detrimental to the primary goal of fw plexs.

That being relative control over taking the fight by both parties.

But when you can’t even be bothered to post in the correct forum section such an idea isn’t surprising
