What is Causing EVE to Die?

Indeed.

I agree that Omega subscription needs to cost 35£ and be raised 5£ per year. CCP families need to eat after all.

That model would only work if Capsuleers stop extracting skill points to roll them over month after month, etc

Yeah but I’m still in denial about that

Likewise, extract is just a lazy option to maintain a subscription.

I’ve never seen a game that allows so many players to cheat.

Edit: And maybe that’s why so many new players don’t stay. No one wants to play with cheaters.

I think as your comment message reads

I’ve never seen a game that allows so many pilots to gank other pilots in Highsec without fair warning!

Frostpacker totally agrees

No, that’s not what my comment says and that’s not what I mean.

What I mean is exactly what I wrote down.

No wait so your comment is stating that skill points extraction is a form of cheating?

I had really tried to cover your mistake up with my above.

Now you are just making your own laws to suggest that skill point extraction is a form of cheating

I’ve always made my own laws because the ones on the books suck.

Well you know how to overcome your negative emotions?

New Eden is filled with pilots with heavy emotions!

Yes. Acknowledge they exist and understand they are a natural form of grieving.

What you’re essentially saying is that New Eden is filled with Humans.

Yes that is the problem what causes Eve to die!

As soon as a Capsuleers starts bringing in to EveOnlne real human emotions then they are laying down a path to failure.

I’m so pleased that you have conversed with one ofus here today well done.

Will log in and donate a small reward!

Keep up the good work Pilot!

@Chad_Frostpacker It’s a pleasure, Chad.
Now I have to check on that scout and see if it’s all clear to go mining in that Lowsec system.
Take care, Frosty!

You see the problem and it is always a win win when that problem can be explained as we had shown here above.

Sent you a billion for your efforts

You are most gracious, sir. Thank you very much!

It’s obvious this is a EVE forum, so cheap on likes!

I’ve been a paying subscriber since 2006 and log in pretty close to daily…
I don’t PVP. However my wife does. She is one day older in game than I am and much younger. We are hardcore gamers…I started as a programmer and am a military trained electronics technician. I build our hardware, both have bachelor’s degrees in IT Subjects and multiple top grade professional certifications. In Eve my main character’s focus is industry. I build what my spouse needs for her fleets…and what the corporation needs for support, Capitals on down. I constantly hear that manure about EVE DYING…it’s not, it EVOLVES.
(this is my opinion)
CCP seems to enjoy torturing the player base by making changes…from the constant tweeking of the economy and removal of ORES and asteroids in systems to control populations…trying to driving players from HIGH SEC Space to NULL SEC. or Worm Holes… Destroying the trade path from JITA TO AMARR by making POCHVEN TRIG SPACE and KILLING a High Sec .5 system , NIARJA, and making a low sec system Ahbazon the shortest route. Now the slaughter is legal…instead of criminal because it’s LOW SEC. The alternative is to take “THE LONG WAY”…
safer route.
So maybe you were correct…EVE IS DYING…because I AM NOT going to waste what little life I have left jumping BULL MANURE Imaginary space gates getting slaughtered by smart bombers camping the jump gates, loosing my hard earned assets for someone else’s pleasure.

I guess you can just disregard my OPINION and my money because it’s gonna BE GONE…
Stay Safe 07 …there is way to much market competition in the GAMING industry for EVE to remain forever…HALO is coming on the Unreal 5 engine for example…CCP might want to want to look at the Quality of LIFE and Player Satisfaction area a little closer…

Isn’t it possible that the game was designed with ‘cheaters’ in mind, as a specific sub-set of the player base?

That would certainly explain the prevalence to which you allude. Cheaters are attracted to the game because it caters for their particular entertaining and nuanced skillset.

You may not like it, but until the game’s designers decide otherwise, ‘cheating’ is here to stay!

If I don’t like something, I simply ignore it; you, of course, may take a different view.

Gatecampers… the laziest PvPers in all of gaming.
If CCP wants the game to last, they better make so that Gatecamping isn’t a thing anymore by using the gate guns against the lazy gates loiterers.
But can CCP forgo easy ship destruction? Would be like asking if I can forgo perky breasts.
@Fatt_Albert You forgot Gatecampers in your list. Just saying…

Yes, there’re a lot of things I don’t like, online and offline. Game cheating is only one of a long list.
But those things don’t prevent me from sleeping at night and EVE cheaters don’t prevent me from enjoying EVE a few hours a day.

I ignore it too. Only, this is a forum and I might just point to a few things that I deem worth mentioning.

What kind of cheating are you talking about?
