Solstice, I don’t mind you being smarter or better, or stronger or faster, or whatever other attribute you want to display.

I just want to be able to play not feeling like I’m just your income. A lot of new players end up feeling like that, and some of us older ones, too. My main is a solo player. He’s not self sufficient, can’t manufacture what he uses… You know what, forget it. Not even taking that tack.

A lot of us are playing for the fun of space battles. Period. We get it that there is a deeper game. And that’s fine. Just don’t make us play it?

How would you know?

There’s no evidence that you’re actually an “older” player. An older player would not hide behind a forum alt and would definitely know what a Fedo is.

We’re not trying to tell you how to play.
You’re trying to tell us how to play.

You say this isn’t life, then why do you demand that we’re being considerate of you, as if you were a disabled person? It’s a game. No one’s asking you to play it. You’re not required to play it. If you suck at it, improve or accept that you’re a loser.

You make ■■■■■■■■ statements about others, without evidence.
You make ■■■■■■■■ statements about yourself, without evidence.

You basically demand that people are considerate of your wants, yet don’t give a flying ■■■■ about ours. You do ■■■■ all to actually try rising to our standards and instead basically demand that we lower ours for you. You demand that we treat you like a victim, because you refuse to act like an intelligent human being.

Right… Actually, it’s the newer players that are that naive. War decs, bounties, real life angst causing you to hit my toon in the game? Please. Older players are more likely to use alts, not less likely.

I don’t. I know you won’t. I’m putting forth ideas. People vote with their wallets. I don’t have to change your mind, and I can’t. Because nothing I can do will affect you. I just have to put the seeds of ideas out there, and if I’m right, consumer demand will take care of it.

If I’m wrong, there won’t be any demand, and you’re fine.

Like we’re not used to it, and virtue signaling, and all the whining over your status.

Whatever. Most of the flack I’m seeing is from vets. What a surprise. And I think they’re the ‘coaster’ vets, the ones that are just old, just have a lot of isk, have a lot of easy ganks under their belt, feel all full of themselves.

If you’re a real vet, you really don’t care if an alpha has access to L5 cruiser, and L5 weapon skills, because you’re still gonna win, because, duh, real life experience. The same way some alphas stomp plexing queens.

I’m not terribly sure that most of you whining, against alphas getting anything, or insurance being better, are all that wonderful, to begin with. If you were, you would not feel threatened by us.

I don’t care about lore. I am not a role player. I just play for the space battles. I don’t care about lore, or manufacturing, or getting rich or being somebody.

To me, this is like hockey. It’s just a game, I win some, I lose some, I enjoy playing. I don’t want to be involved with the franchise at a business level, in other words.

I simply asked a question, and it morphed into a more refined discussion. That’s perfectly natural, as a consequence of discussion.

I don’t expect you ‘coaster vets’ to sanction ANY change. At all. Ever. You’ve done great, with the game as is, building your walls after you got to the top of the hill, first, due to being older.

I know you have a position you covet. I know you will argue against any challenge. But I’m going to challenge at least some of these notions. You have too much, and you’re too powerful.

If CCP wants to have alphas as a part of the game, changes need to be made. If you want alphas to sub, changes definitely need to be made, to level the playing field, not entirely, but somewhat. Yes, you should have a bit more advantage, but what you have, now, is far too much.
