something created you as a tool or for a specific task, which is absolutely horrifying.
Why is that horrifying? And compared to what? Just being dumped on for example earth and not given any sense of direction or purpose? That seems far more horrifying
We are born powerless and ignorant, but something takes care of us until we grow and figure that things have causes⦠but many never overcome the assumption that same as parents care for powerless newborns, something superhuman must care for humans, and same as parents are cause for children, something is cause for mankind. Itās all we learn, but many animals donāt experience the same and the question is open for debating.
Iām shocked this thread isnāt closed, wasnāt sure if I was going to bother posting.
Since the question is being asked I will answer it without imposing my view and simply putting it in the discussion pot.
Our purpose might be to simply bear witness to everything we see and hear and feel. Iām unsure if we will need to testify at some point but that is my view.
It doesnāt matter if cowbell wearing or even collecting them as wind chimes, what matters is that it is a comment made my you that you had shared wiih us here that we can now imagine what if the purpose in life is just as simple as being a cow that wears a bell that holds no grudges in life and accepts the challenge of interacting with other cows in the paddock.
Yesterday i helped a stranger and her friend in a wheelchair who was stuck on a rain grate. It was simple and i was kind of confused they couldnāt get the wheelchair free themselves, hopefully i didnāt make it look too easy. Next time i will probably act more like a guide. This is mildly on topic.
Life canāt be bargained with, it canāt be reasoned with. It doesnāt feel pity! Or remorse or fear and it absolutely will not stop!.. ever⦠until you are dead!
What underlies all these conceptions of difficulty and ease, attraction and aversion is what is real. It is when you move beyond concepts that you begin to see what really is. That is the point that everything becomes instilled with meaning, a meaning that is deep and profound and freed from conceptions of mind. From this standpoint everything is meaningful and move one step beyond that and there are no such things as separate things or events, in that everything exists in relation to everything else. A āthingā truly is a noun there are no āthingsā in nature.
