What landmark locations would you love to see in New Eden?

Elarel, there was a quafe event that destroyed a station, it seems a previously available landmark there was removed. Please re-isntate it, and hopefully add a destroyed station wreck or something.

and promoting shooting afk people before it was cool.

Thank you for your appreciation of community accomplishments but I do not support dev time allocation to the building of monuments. I would much rather see more meaningful gameplay changes such as:

1/FW changes
2/Ship balancing
3/Mission overhaul
4/Resource redistribution
5/Lowering barriers for new players (remove/shorten the magic 14)

If these devs can only create models in model creation software, I reccomend putting them on mission overhaul or improvement of the tutorials.

different devs do different thingsā€¦ these working on monuments are not the same that are doing balance changes etcā€¦

Iā€™m aware of that. Building models in modeling software is a different skilset than coding + other soft skills necessary to make a good gamplay change.

My point is that this isnā€™t a change that I see as a high priority. However, coding skills can easily be trained by actually letting people work on projects. They probably already have many of the soft skills too.

Overall, Iā€™m here to simply say that the product given to me as a player does not align with my desired priorities.

Again, the art team have their own stuff they are working on. Quit bashing ccp over different teams having their own projects for the game. Hell ask them for an option to turn off all graphics then since you donā€™t like the amazing artwork and details, like I and many others love about the game

We got that option already. I use it all the time to disable the sun glare. I love it! Ctl-Shift-F9.

Iā€™d love to see some monuments for the OG corps/alliances that built a lot of the early history of the game. If you decide to include any of the below and need more information, please reach out and Iā€™ll throw together whats left in my mind from the early days :slight_smile:

My suggestions will focus heavily on 03-04 pirate/outlaw era of EVE, I feel they should be added for a few reasons:

  • Itā€™ll create a ā€œechos/ghosts of the pastā€ feel to systems/areas, and hopefully encourage newer pilots to research the history of the corps/systems
  • Honouring corps/players that built the stories that attracted so many players to the game early on
  • A bygone playstyle of pirate rp/ransoming that should be remembered

Corps and thoughts:

  • m0o FD-MLJ / PF-346 - probably the most infamous 03 pirate corp, Stavros, Omniwar, Lord Zap and many more famous names
  • Biomass Cartel / Forsaken Empire (corp) - Obe / P3EN-E - OG pirate roleplaying corp, controlled much of the northern regions in 2003-mid 04, many famous names from the era including the likes of TANK CEO
  • Space Invaders - EC-P8R Lonetrek/Pureblind pirate corp, Kianaā€™tre, Gr3g, J3tt and more famous names, this corp created alot of early PVP videos
  • ā€œJokersā€ Corp, ā€œJexterā€ and ā€œFistā€ were 2 of the most fearsome pilots in early 03, exceptionally talented pvpers who ran a true ā€œlone rangerā€ corp who would ransom and fight anyone in the Pure Blind area, probably X-7 or ROIR in Pure Blind make most sense.
  • Tundragon, Russian crew who were small scale high skilled minnie ship favouring RP pirates, lived alot around Aurohunen in Lonetrek
  • Crice Corp ran by Crice, this corp played an unusual role, basically a pirate ally that provided logistics and manufacturing, almost like an early lawless trader, based out of FDZ in Geminate
  • Celestial Apocalypse, headed up by Darth Solo, for every bunch of bad guys theres gotta be some good guys, celest apoc played the role of ā€œpiratehuntersā€ and were the ying to pirates yang, there was a constant back and forth between them and the pirate groups of the north, with a dash of RP thrown in for good measure.

Other groups that should be remembered but donā€™t fall into the north regions I was familiar with from that era:

  • Curse Alliance, VOTF, Sinister, ATUK etc, the original pure PVP alliance
  • Stain Alliance, Curse alliances nemesis, these two warred for much of the first year of the game, the largest battles with the most numbers
  • Taggart Transdimentional (TTI) basically a capitalistic powerhouse of industry, using the money to influence politics, think of space John D Rockefeller
  • Fountain Alliance - Evolution/Xanadu and others, a very rich alliance early on with solid pvp corps, quite isolationist at the time
  • NVA / PA - New Venal Alliance and its successor the Phoenix Alliance, held Venal/Branch/Tenal for most of the first year and a half of the game, industry with a splash of PVP, some solid pvp corps like KIA (aka RONAKIA), based in H-PA / 6NJ

One more idea:

Make new visuals for key planets, e.g. homeplanets of the races. For example Matar has an extensive description in the lore, and it would be fun if the planet we see in space could be made to match that.
