U mad bro?
Actual legitimate failures by CCP like ghost training and weapons/drones/fighters that dont work in 10% tidi
Any one that complains about hisec ganking should probably just quit the game. You failed to plan properly and just assumed you were safe, got caught, died and now you come to the official Eve forums to complain and demand the game be changed because youâre a slow brain. Seriously, kill yourself in game then biomass.
Didnât we just do this? or, perhaps, âdidnât we just go through thisâ would be the better phrase.
Once again;
No one made any request for any change. and, I repeat; There is NO post in this thread in which anyone makes a request for any change to any system, mechanic or rule in the game.
The OP 1) Denounces ⌠its a DENUNCIATION ⌠the rise and prevalence of Suicide Ganking. 2) Asks why Bumping is NOT considered an aggressive act, and why a second account is the only counter to bumping, and 3) the OP asks why Concord response times are not published!
There is NO request for any change to any system, mechanic or rule of the game!
Furthermore, this is NOT the âSuggestion Forumâ or the âIdeas Forumâ ⌠this is the General Discussion Forum, and therefore a ârequest for changesâ can NOT be implied or inferred from any post in this forum!
Furthermore, EVE Onlineâs TERMS OF SERVICE https://community.eveonline.com/support/policies/terms-of-service-en/ specifically state that EVERY account must accept that CHANGES will be made to EVE Online.
Therefore, coming to the forums and attempting to interrupt or shout down FEEDBACK about EVE Online because you are afraid it will lead to changes is a violation of the TERMS OF SERVICE because you do NOT accept that changes WILL be made to EVE Online!
It doesnât have to be in the tutorial
Itâs part of the learning curve that you want flattened
Also, it seems youâre only here to cry and to try and make people like idiots. But newsflash
Itâs not working.
At all
A real world oil tanker with some armed guards is looking to fend off a speedboat of malnourished locals wielding small arms.
There arenât any real-world hauling ships equipped to fend off a military vessel, and the least threatening ships in Eve are still basically military vessels.
Even military transports in the real world are generally going to be relying on escorts, not their own onboard defenses.
Itâs the risk you take when you start to play lol
Do you post anything other than attempts at pretty terrible personal attacks? Just because you donât like oneâs argument against your superior intellect /s
Who knew it would be that easy to farm your tears
Indeed, an Aircraft Carrier is part of a Carrier Group for a reason.
Iâm on my work breaktime
I donât need anything more
Try posting on topic, you might end up learning a thing or 2 instead of being cancer like Nitshe and holey (rip)

Well, this may be true, but at least the botters had to bot for theirs. I mean; they didnât glitch or hack the game for them. They werenât just handed ships or blueprints automagically. They had to legitimately cheat for their in-game advantage. Long gone are the days when incredibly valuable items just appear in players hangars out of thin air. We know that definitely doesnât happen anymore. CCP and the CSM would put a stop to it nowadays. Or they would at least bring it to light and request feedback on how to address it. If they didnât, then THAT would be a joke. But I trust them. I do. I really do. hehehe ::nervous laughter::
I still love Eve after playing since 2003. The last thing Iâd describe Eve as is a joke, Infact it is a serious type of game that appeals to 39 year olds like me. I love the dark and ruthless atmosphere, the game can be hard and unforgiving at times.
So the joke is infact on you @ OP, If you donât like Eve you should just leave quietly. We only want people who shout about how cool Eve is on these forums.
and another eve system bites the dust. evevoice to be removed come march because 0.4% of pilots use it like CQ and twitch.
The problem isnât the systems that have been removed, the problem are the systems that havenât been removed!
There are better 3rd party comms out there.
Programs that people know exist (unlike EVE voice that pretty much no one used even once)
Adapt or die lol

Yeah, [bumping is] a free of consequence, anti warp, tacticial position mechanic, and super easy to do against high sec capital freighters.
Black Pedro
And largely intended. A freighter is a capital ship which is suppose to have a support fleet. Its lumbering nature and vulnerability is the drawback for its massive cargo capacity.
I donât agree with this entirely. While a support fleet is encouraged I donât think it validates using an exploited mechanic against it. Having a gank fleet warp in, scram, and destroy the freighter all before CONCORD arrives is perfectly valid and I have no problem with that. However, just because a ship was alone doesnât mean it should be able to be immoblized in HS without any consequence, even allowing mulitple waves of DPS if 1 attempt is not enough.
Black Pedro
It is easy to mitigate these risks, and once you understand the factors that make you a profitable target, it is trivial to avoid being one.
I see this argument a lot but it misses the point that a freighter is still able to be exploited through bump mechanics. Even if a freighter is not a profitable target it can still be bumped indefinitely.
I donât think ganking is an issue, I think the exploitation of bump mechanics in HS against freighters is the issue. Itâs a loophole to get around the aggression mechanics of Eve that allow pilots to attack aggressors.
To further expand on my thinking, this is where we can get to the root of the issue. Ganking itself is not an exploit. Bumping itself is not aggression (because it does not necessarily mean a DPS fleet is coming). However, in context and in conjuction it becomes an exploited mechanic. I believe this is why people see ganking as a problem, in context it seems like a exploit.
I think an underlying issue is freighters lack of options. Bumping is quite boring gameplay for both parties. My idea of a solution is a special Micro Jump Drive module for freighters that would jump it 250km away. This way an active freighter pilot has a chance to make a meaningful fitting decision and use that option when needed. For gankers, it would mean they would need to place a scram on the freighter and sacrifice to CONCORD as intended by usual high sec aggression mechanics. I believe this would create more engaging content for both parties, freighter haulers and gankers.
I agree with everything you said but you solution wonât work well unless mechanics change. A scram only need be applied at the moment the ship is about to jump to cancel it, and the MJD will still have a cooldown even though it was not able to jump.
The best suggestion Iâve seen was to essentially make the MJD a part of the hull for freighters. However, using a warp disruption on a freighter would only cause suspect status, not criminal.
Overall a slight nerf to freighter ganking but would make it way more interesting for all involved.

I dont think that is true. As far as I know, disrupting and scramming in HS are criminal actions. Even if not, a disruptor does not turn off an MJD/MWD but a scram will.
CCP would never make such a module, Icelandâs economy revolves around providing victims for suicide gankers.
IF CCP did make such a module, it would have Instant Activation, be uninterruptible, and warp the freighter 250km in random direction and reduce the cargohold by 85%.
A better solution would be to put on a Red shirt, go to an EVE Online convention and ask a CCP Dev, if a ship has a warp drive but canât jump from one system to another and need a Jump Gate to do that, how does a Warp-Scrambler prevent a ship from jumping through a jump gate, when the warp drive is on the ship but the Gate has a different system all together???
