Spintronics (electronics based on electron spin rather than electric charge) have been a promising new field for decades, and now apparently they’re ready for prime time, at least the less difficult parts of them.
We’ll see how do they fare, specially in a market where memory is under stress (all of 2026’s production has already been sold) and desperate companies are looking to 2027 production contracts.
BUT… only if the AI bubble doesn’t bursts and renders all those future data centers unnecessary…
