Interesting video…
Do we need better cars or better cities? ![]()
I am not much on the IPA’s myself as I prefer Barely Wines myself such as this. I can not find it here in this small corner of Ohio.
Been a fun ride this week.
Count your blessings: this crap is ilegal in the EU because it’s both unregulated gambling and a undisclosed financial product, but unfortunately it is not ilegal for our brothers and sisters over there in the United States and so they are being preyed upon…
Polymarket, Kelshi and the rest are RIGGED GAMBLING, they are THE HOUSE, and you WILL LOSE. Period.
Stay safe, people.
Anyone that says, they can predict the market is either a liar or scamming. Most likely both. The best one can do is spot trends. Even then it is more guess work. Unless you happen to be Warren Buffet. The Oracle of Omaha.
Even then he gets it wrong every now and again. When he gets it wrong. It is generally in a big way. Though what he and his now late business partner were, and he still is, good at. Was spotting an upcoming small to med size business. That when applied by a list they had developed of a business that looked successful. Buy it and leave the founder/owner in charge. Making bank for decades.
He is what is called a value investor. He does not buy retail. Instead he waits till a price hits a certain number that is at a sale price and then buys. Holds for predetermined time. Then sell at that moment. berkshire hathaway which he control and is now semi retired from. Has made a lot of millionaires, But the catch is that one must have a few thousand to initially invest.
But there is no way to predict the market in any reliable way. You might spot a trend or two. Based on history of the market, business, and industry may mean something or nothing at all.
Is that how you dress?
?? I am not sure what you mean? Being retired I dress casually these days. Unless you are talking about the uncle sam prop. Then no.
Also for something completely different.
The Helical Encabulator
Cool stuff…
…I already knew about peeling bananas, and I’ve always dusted from top down, and brush my teeth before breakfast, and also save first and then spend what’s left, but hey, the other tricks are cool!
(Specially the one about “fail spectacularly by doing the hardest part head on, then take the baby steps towards that goal”)
The one in Black. I love both pics though.. It brought a smile to my face. Thank you
Guess what… Malcanis’ Law also works in the real world and the big ones benefit massively from stuff supposed to benefit the small ones…
…and don’t you dare fighting back…
Time for cool engineering and the world’s most dangerous dam…
So let’s build a dam on a foundation of water-soluble rock… what could go wrong? ![]()
(Iraqi engineers weren’t stupid, but they seriously overestimated the effectiveness of waterproof lining to keep the reservoir water away from the gypsum substratum)
One of my favorite youtuber. A history channel has gone this way. He is now doing commercials. Pushes more product than content. What he uploads are now shallow. Though his dry humor is still there. Just everything else has changed. He no longer goes into depth. Just makes comments and moves on.
I quit watching him sometime ago. See his videos pop up every now and again. Just pass it on by. But I get it. Making content on a shoe string budget is not easy. Sometimes that siren song of money from a corporate is just to hard to resist.
