Meanwhile in China…
China is not alone in the business of ruined young people, since South Korea and Japan also face the same problem, but the overarching issue here is that since young people have no money and no experience, the logical conclusion is that they don’t have a place in the business world.
Why would you give a job to someone who doesn’t knows how to do it? Why would you bother with making your products affordable to people without money? Specially if your product is a basic necessity people can’t do without, like a home, or food?
And sooner or later something will give. If the rules say “you’re young, got no job, no money, no home, no partner, we don’t need you”, there are only two logical answers: kill yourself or kill the rules.
The Asian youngsters are still in the “kill yourself, maybe?” zone.
Western youngsters are in a “amuse yourself to death” zone but looking at extremism as a “stick it to the old man”.
But sooner or later they will demand answers. Why the rules say that they already lost by being born later? Who enforces those rules? And why should they abide?
Some might fall for the lies of extremism, picking an unsympathetic minority as a scapegoat, rewriting the rules of society and then be victimised by the tyrants they pushed to power.
But also some might figure that cooperation among equals is the solution.
This is the stuff of nightmares:
This is not just a cultural divide between the USA and the rest of the world, it’s something so much only-in-the-USA that it might carry some deeper meaning.
After watching this video, I’m taking note of the theory that “the idea of childhood as a special time different from adulthood was born when adult social interactions required literacy and not just the ability to speak, and now that’s going away and it’s bad”.
@Yiole_Gionglao while I agree, “child beauty pagents” are wrong, I am against “beauty pagents” in general. Disagree with the vlogger, who says they are the product of “woke America”. Most of these people, like that awful mom, are rightwing conservative republicans. I really don’t think for one moment child beauty pagents are non-partison and the people who claim they are not “woke”, does that mean they are sleeping? I hate labeling people.
@DrysonBennington just one question; what have you been smoking? Please share some with the rest of us.
Now let’s not derail the thread – This is what I am watching.
I understood that as “being against child beauty pageants is not just something woke”

It’s by the Reverend Ivan Stang, one of the founders of the Church of the Subgenius.
Lucy mentioned (Dr.) Bob, so it reminded me of his ‘great’ work.
