What we need is more tools not a wardec mini-game. A proposal for the expansion of the contract system

I think this is an interesting direction for instigating low intensity conflicts. However It may be easier to implement the contract as in the case of mining to mine x units in a specific system instead of prevent entity a from mining said units. A wardec may be needed to achieve the goal of prevention and just sending in some crazy passive aggressive miners would simply fill the contract by out-mining the upstarts.

I hop in a venture for lols at times to remind myself why mining sucks. But if i could mine tears and ore at once and be paid… perfection.

Kill warrants in a specific system would be interesting building on your idea. Allowing alliances to put bounties on player kills in a system or two or even a constellation to encourage human interaction in the explosive form.

I like the idea

It would make for more conflict, more competitive gameplay than what we currently have

A system that allows players who are willing to perform a service to be paid for performing it is something I’d like to see. The idea is understandably rough around the edges, but delivering on the intentions of it would be good for the game as a whole, I think.

“Conditions” made me think of user-generated missions. Perhaps using agents instead of contracts could be an alternative and broaden some other gameplay aspects as well.

Players could place/hire/rent agents in structures for a fee. These agents would offer missions in their name (like the contracts described above, and certain others), created by the agent owner based on the available triggers/conditions and perhaps limited by the structure type, location, fitting and/or social skills.

Service providers could seek out those agents to find work (or a client just points out an agent to check). Structure owners would compete for the “best” content providers. Perhaps they could even attract some NPC agents as well with good standings/LP.

In any case, from a service provider’s point of view, ways to formalize a broader range of deals are always welcome.

I would not mind seeing a contract system for mercs in place.

But conditions…like standard conditions.
Kill x number of ships
Kill x amount of isk worth of ships/pods(using in game kill report not zkill)
Destroy structure/poco

Just a few basic ideas there, but i think that really is the question of placing contracts and wardecs together…what standard conditions could be included on a contract to make it viable and useful?
Anything outside the norm, maybe have a Bonus line where the issuer can write something in, add a price…and then when the other conditions are met get a notification so they can decide to click a button to authorize the bonus or decline it.

Well it would make more people use mercs, which in itself is a good thing Interesting ideas, I think that this should be in the war dec system as an option for mercs.

I should probably iterate a bit on the OP once I have time to make it more clear how this could work and add some more examples.
