I’m still unfamiliar with offensive modules and Warp Scramble has been failry frustrating dealing with. I’m wondering if anyone can compile a simple list of ‘limitations’ WSs have, such as range, effectivness and other.
For example, not too long ago I wasn’t aware of low power modules that could overdrive WS for few seconds allowing scrambled ships to escape.
Some low tech WS have very short range making it innefective against very speedy ships.
If I remember correctly, not all ships can be scrambled, which ones are those?
Limitations like these are the ones I’m seeking. They are not faction or tech limited. I’d just like the know the ‘most common ones’ or ‘average values’ that can broadly describe the state of WSs.
Each ship has a base warp strength of 1. At the end of each tick, if the ship requested to warp, the game engine checks if it is aligned to its target and if it is warp able, that is : if warp strength >0
Each warp disruptor or warp scrambler, when applied, reduces that strength on their target.
Some ships (venture, DST, MS, titan) have an increase to that strength. This means, when loading the ship, the engine adds those values (from effects) to the ship’s value.
When you activate a WCS it does the same : REMOVE its warp strength from your ship’s.
I guess bubbles just set a flag to prevent warp, unless your ship is nullified.
The issue is that this is a threshold effect, as below the required amount of points there is no effect, and after it there is no effect either. The only effect is when you reach that amount.
