Fighting pirates in space off of whatever planet of choosing while in the applied faction destroyer from Eve. While fighting a titan or dreadnought from an opposing faction or such a ship in size that it could realistically bump the destroyer. Bumps it so hard that it penetrates the ships shield and smashes the hull of your ship and booping your ship into the near planets gravitational pull.
*could add a dramatic scene of the entry and where they la d for more immersive feel.

Thus begins tutorial of the project legion or dust514 series of being a militia member of your faction and trying to communicate with scraps back to base or rebuild the ship thru a scavenging tutorial and looking for civilization… maybe that’s too much for a Dust remake for PC… hope this gives inspiration to releasing or announcing Dust 514 as it was on ps3, being released on PC!
Any word on if the company that acquired CCP is going to fund Dust514 An amazingly lucrative business venture.
If we could copy and paste DUST 514 onto PC, you’d get enough money to fund future stuff and you know it

Bumps you so hard that it penetrates the ships shield and smashes the hull of your ship and boops your ship into the near planets gravitational pull. Damaged thrusters prevent you from escaping.

Imagine having a game where 100% of your player base is on PC… but then create a game that is directly involved with the PC game, but go exclusive to an entirely different console that most people who have will never even look at the trailer for your game…

I know eventually that blunder ages ago will end up in business textbooks.
All the opportunities lost. All the investment lost because of making DUST for consoles way back then and not PC. I wonder if it still haunts Hilmar to this day.
It was the console exclusivity that hurt it. Sony made them have it PS only that I recall. I’d have thrown a few bucks their way on xbox. I am an xbox user. Sony also made them have no PC.
CCP’s mistake was getting into bed with sony. Sony likes that PS only exclusive. They have a few titles I’d buy on PC in heartbeat. BUt I don’t want them enough to buy the PS seried to even play it.
Should have been M$. they are more than happy to say dudes…make a PC and xbox version. We will either get a pc or xbox sale. We win either way.
I can use the xbox when pc game is tied up. Waiting for form ups stuff. I am jsut sitting there…waiting. Lets run the xbox. Some nights in wow I hammered out some xbox game time waiting for raids to finally…raid lol. Eve…I’ve done that a few times. Leave eve up…wait for plans to actually solidify in the xbox.
CCP just showed us the bare bones of what vanguard (AKA EVE FPS) will be built on.
