Gankers are a good thing. They remind us that this is a PVP-focused game and help us stay aware and always ready for action.
One of the best parts of Eve is when a few gankers try to destroy your ship and you surprise them with a unique fit and survive long enough to run or actually defeat the ganking ships.
Everyone is different. But always remember that even while you may fit for PVE, be ready to use that fit to defend yourself if the need arises. This is why many will have a PVE fit but also throw on a web or nullifier or something.

The purpose of the EVE Online forums is to provide a platform for exchange of ideas, and a venue for the discussion of EVE Online. There is no path where this post would result in a constructive conversation between capsuleers.
So I shall be locking it, please feel free to come up with a more constructive means in which to discuss ganking mechanics. And playstyle in a future post however, just without directly attacking the players who are engaging in it.
