When did you realize you were truly rich in game?

When I realized I could give billions to new players who, at least showed some actual hope of sticking around. ISK not wasted since I made soooo much just by being active and hoping they could do the same.

When I started spending ISK on stuff I didn’t need or really want, just to watch it burn in space. I think that was around November 2023. Roughly 5 to 6 months after I started playing this game. I recently decommissioned my astrahus and gave it away. No one wanted to explode it obviously. I am almost certain the new owners will put it to better use.

Have fun!

I agree with that. Wallet size is a poor mans perspective on wealth. Asset value is what matters most. Collecting ISK in a wallet is not only a waste of your time and money, ISK is also one of the very worst methods to hold value due mostly to inflation.

I don’t think anyone is specifically stating ISK as a measure of wealth (but everything one owns is of course generally valued in ISK).

Don’t go getting all chummy with new pilots as they don’t know how to spend their isk and will just try to upgrade into a ship class that isn’t the best ship for them to undock and your isk won’t help them sticking around.

When all I wanted couldn’t be bought with ISK any more

If it’s simple then it isn’t complicated.

When did I realize I was truly rich in game? I always realized I was truely rich in any game since game currencies are based on nothing but game time and are worth 1/1000 of any real currency.
The real currency of any game is time. The more time you can spend the richer you are.

Back then when I realized that I can easily afford to risk and lose 9 months worth of PLEX. :smirk:

Hope you give it divided among them instead of billions per person because I personally witnessed newbros wasting big portions of the ISK gifted to them on overpriced stuff because they were too lazy to make the trip to a trade hub with better price and other such nonsense because they didn’t care anymore.

This is why I prefer to give away lower quantities along with actual ships instead as then less chance for the gift to go to waste.

It’s true. That’s why I give away stuff as I don’t personally spend it.

Speaking of wordsalads…

When I realized all the ISK the Frostpacker sent me over the years didn’t make a difference to my wealth. :face_with_monocle:

I realized I was rich when I stopped wanting/needing to buy anything.

I don’t even remember how much isk I had sent.

I’m sure that I would had given more to my old pilots than anyone in all of New Eden.

What’s the password to that container?

I recall trying to drag that plex to my own container but I don’t remember if an option to enter password was available.

Thus is my opinion also, I look at the things that I could buy but in the end it’s just not the same value as a little social interaction without combat.

I had not gotten to that point yet.

I don’t own a titan.

I barely ever have to spend on anything anyway and have enough reserves even if I become active on my FW alt or something in the future so really no reason not to give away the rest.

Even if you did it would either end up as Maggie or would be solo ganked by Aiko.

Hi, Megazor. I haven’t yet realized I’m rich because I am a new capsuleer so I am not rich, I’m poor but I should be getting some isk doing the career agents mission and I will then be richer than I am now.

Does Princess even care enough to come hunt frosty?

Unfortunately I don’t think so. Not even sure you could pay her enough to do it.

That fact that my frozen corpse is worth nothing makes me want to donate everything away!
