Created a new character. Got plopped into a station. No agents, no missions, literally nothing in this new area. When will the new area be fully enabled? Or is it really meant to be a completely empty area?

This is not something FC planned, it was part of CCP who initialized the project. This is obviously the fault of CCP and not FC at all.
It seems to be working for everyone else, too, and I doubt there is a surprising reason that your affect and tone sounds like a troll â– â– â– â– posting instead of someone trying to get help with a problem.

Thanks for the green light. Do they still have the same tutorial and it dumps you out in AIR Labs, or is that new?
I have a bud who is considering playing this game, I told him to try it here on my system before he has garbage to delete on his. Plus I can hover over him telling him all the weird combo keys to press.
I let him know, it is no CS2 or CoD, so he shouldn’t be too disappointed by what he sees in here tonight. The terms I used to describe this one were; Red Storm Rising meets Star Trek Online, or World of Warships meets Sid Meyers Pirates.
As long as your friend has someone to guide him (like you!!!), he should be okay.
