I don’t know when it started, but the nebula can no longer be seen. Did it disappear at some point in time, or is it just that I can’t see it from my current position?

Jupiter and the other planets in the solar system of Earth have been cut off from New Eden ever since the EVE gate collapsed.

I guess the guy means the Jove region and the explosion of the W477-P star that led to the collapse of the Jove gates.
The nebula is still there. You need to look towards the north, it’s behind the Vale of the Silent region. It’s visible from all regions in the cluster. From the furthest away regions like Paragon Soul or Period Basis, it appears very small, though.
