Who else feels undervalued once they do an ISK to $$ conversion?

Who else feels undervalued once they do an ISK to $$ conversion with the average of 5,000,000 to 1 plex and 1 plex to 5 cents, that means that fenris gives us 1 cent for every 2 daily goals that we do, without involving taxes, which means every 100mil is 1$.

What do you think now…

which means that my character is only worth about 35$ on a good day

I don’t. Because it’s game. Albeit, a serious game. In which all capsuleers are space rich.

“To put this in perspective, an average family living on a planet might, in the course of a lifetime, accrue savings of about 10,000 isk.”

I simply don’t do that conversation.

After all, I’m not playing EVE to get rich. I’m playing EVE to have fun, for entertainment.

I wouldn’t do such conversions either for how much time I spend on an evening out with friends or on a netflix subscription. It wouldn’t even make sense in such cases, but it’s similar: EVE is entertainment too.

I’m not grinding repetitive tasks to save some money, at best I’m doing it to earn new ships to fly because I like that gameplay loop.

There are people who even pay to skip that loop, and they’re free to do so but personally I would question why I’m playing a game if I am paying real money to skip the resource gathering part of a game.

yeah, that is what i do too, but sometimes i cant help but do some math for fun

i mean, just imagine if you only had to pay 5 dollars to declare war on people…

48% off plex, now i will feel valuble

The only people that need to worry about ISK → USD conversion are RMTers. If you enjoy the game, don’t worry about how much your character’s assets are worth on the black market.
