Ship rarity is very accurately represented by its cost ingame…
We can thank the limited number of ships handed out in the AT every year for this. It basically ensures that the vast majority of these ships never leave the hangar (or Exordium).
It’s not a rare hull as it was handed out for free to all subscribed accounts in 2013 or so (ballpark year). I own them.
No they don’t leave hangar because the owners are too scared to have such high zkill loss. If they won it then they got it for free. But they either sell it because again they care too much about zkillboard and are afraid to lose it and have it on their zkill or they keep it in hangar for the exact same reason.
Respect to those who are actually flying it. Although it is almost always used as an off-grid “warp-in to target blobbed and held still and toothless” to get the kill mark on it safely…

Or we just don’t want to lose an asset that is pretty much irreplaceable and is only gonna go up in value. It’s also called an ‘‘investment’’ by some people. Flying that thing is 100% guaranteed loss.
That’s the same as ‘‘not flying it’’. Nobody actually ‘‘flies’’ these ships. They’re undocked when there is 0% chance of losing one and under no other circumstances.

I have not. I’d totally forgotten what the Zephyr looked like… I found a diplomatic shuttle in several old characters the other day (still nit as rare as a Zephy).
We should have a weekly fleet and everyone brings their Zephyr!
