I just posted exactly what black is. DARKNESS is physics 101. Black is misnomer. Black has never ever been absolutely dark and at no time has black ever absorbed every single photon. That’s never been observed by anyone on this planet.
There is no such physical thing as ‘darkness’. You seem to think ‘dark’ is an actual thing. It isn’t. Dark isn’t stuff….it is the absence of stuff.
Sigh. Switch on a light in a completely sealed room for a second. Switch off the light. Where did the light go ? I mean, it should still be bouncing around the room. In fact, all the photons do get absorbed, and re-radiated as infra-red ( heat ). Thermodynamics 101.

You remind me of the infamous case of an eclipse in Hawaii, I think it was. Some entrepreneur had a brilliant idea. During the dark part of the eclipse, they opened lots of cans, and then closed them. They then sold these cans as ‘canned darkness from the eclipse’…people actually bought them…
Because it is an actual word from physics…as in black body radiation. Which you’d know if you’d done Physics 101…

What has Vantana Black got to do with it ? The fact that humans cannot create a material that absorbs all light is a technical issue, not a physics issue. You can quite easily have Vantana Black reflect no light by simply going to a place where there is no light. Try a cave a mile underground.
My one point was that the color black doesn’t absorb all light. That is all I’ve said. That’s it. Black is a color- a shade- that doesn’t absorb all light. You just confirmed that you know that to be true so why are we at each other’s throats? Don’t we agree?

I have to laugh at your faux braveness in mining in a 200K EHP barge in a 0.9 system. Today I flew 500m worth of totally unarmed Guardian…just 44K EHP…28 jumps from Hek to Uemisaisen, right through 0.5 Uedama. A doddle…no bravery required at all.

Safety has come over while I was mining 5 times at least. I’ve been attacked once.
Why would I care about giving them a chance or what system security is currently present? If they had the manpower, I’d be gone. Besides, they said they were bringing battle cruisers. I couldn’t make too easy for them.
Again- Safety has known for months that I ice mine in Brapelille. 0.7. They could have brought BCs at any time and blapped me there.
Edit: Why is it so important that I “give them a chance?” Am I really expected to take my skiff into 0.4 and let them know in advance the date and time? I’m not training a 2 year old here. They’re adults and this is a game. They have to work for my kill mail.
Edit 2: I was also sitting in a belt that had concord already there. Just for fun, I wanted to see if tunnel vision would take hold if they’d cared to actually go for it. They didn’t, but either way, I was just having fun.
I suspect they were never specifically after you. Gankers are generally opportunists. They’ll do a circuit of systems and see what is there. It’s only in the much larger ganks, like some I have seen with 40 gankers or more, that there’s a specific target planned in advance.
This is how I get through Uedama. Not gonna give my specific method…except to say nobody’s gonna gank you if nobody knows you are coming.

Aye. You’re right. If they had had the manpower present at that time, I’d been gone. It’s like that old saying: “I don’t have to outrun them- I just have to outrun you.” I just had to be the strongest of the barges. Orcas were stronger than me, but the barges were a lot easier to break.
You don’t seem to have a good grasp of economics.
Why would anyone want to blow up your barge to lose money?
Do you think it is because you are so important? Narcissistic much?
As Aiko said, you have to pay to make it worth her while, the fee is 5 billion ISK.
Even that is not worth her time as she makes that from a freighter kill alone.
